  • they did

    in Rogue One

    it was lame

"scientist doesnt like big Empirey type peeps, fakes being happy, builds in exhaust port, no one notices"

  • follow the money (danish) was good

  • Fargo season 3.

I just finished it and am probably very late to the party, but it was fantastic. Do watch if you can.

Varga was a really original baddy, done so well.

  • started rewatching true detective season 1 after a discussion with my partner about favourite matthew mcconaughey roles - she'd never seen it.

I never watched season 2 as I heard at the time it was cack - is that the case or is it worth following on to season 2 after finishing 1?

really looking forward to giving episode 4 a rewatch.

  • watched a big chunk of season 1 the other day and thought it was great. will make sure to keep it up!

  • The make-up artists, for instance, were on standby, so that they could quickly apply make-up on Ginger’s head. This was done in the phone conversation between Cohle and Hart. The camera briefly pans away from Ginger, which provided them with an opportunity to then apply his make-up for that specific moment in the scene.

    Amazing!

  • He really was, he made that series more so than Ewan McGregor.

  • ooh my other half hasn't seen season 1 either, I'm quite up for re-watching it.

  • do you need to watch season 2 to understand season 3?

  • Netflix's "Ghost Wars".

Had it on while doing DIY all day yesterday, followed the plot up to about episode 6 and now it's just nonsense.

no idea what the fuck is going, feels like they made the rules for how the ghost shit works as they went along..

prominently features an aging rockstar who I only recognised once I saw his name in the credits.

    meatloaf/10

  • also channel zero season 3 went off the rails completely by end of episode 2. nonsensical drivel. murderous midgets weren't enough sadly.

  • No, season 2 was pants. Skip it and watch S3 instead.

    (Fargo)

  • Enjoying the Tick on Amazon, as Mrs Hammer put it, it’s what deadpool tried and failed to be.

  • Try watching The Great Indoors, I made it through half an episode before having to turn it off.

    ..haha, same here!

  • Season 2 is completely unrelated so makes no difference, I started re watching series 2 a few days ago it's not too bad just not as bat shit wierd as series one

  • Probably not as foreign as you hoped but I'm a big Love Hate fan - Irish version of the wire but from the opposition viewpoint

  • No, each is different. Season 2 is set in the 1980s (might be the 1970s)

  • Ooh, been waiting for this, purchasing the series now.

  • 5 episodes in, it's good.

  • ...........baaaa baaaaa ba baaaaa "the name of the place" dadadaadada daaaaaa "BABYLON 5" babadadboooooooooooooom

  • "BABYLON 5"

That was a hugely gripping 5 year epic arc. Re-watched it a number of times. Some dodgy hair styles.

  • aye, shoulder pads too ...and plenty of actors you see now - for example - Bishop Brennan from Father Ted !

  • My abiding memory of Babylon 5 was that I kind of liked it but this was marred by a twat at university who every time the series was mentioned would immediately explain it was the best thing on tv, ever ever, because it had a “story aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaarc”. The elongated “a”was like the sound of an aircraft taking off, flying and landing and was about the same duration of a flight to the Southern Hemisphere.

  • It’s bonkers, I’ve just reached the ‘science’ bit.

  • Re-watched it twice in the last year. Such an original programme
