  • Transparent -both seasons have been really well acted.

  • Yeah this is exceptional

  • If you liked the 3rd episode / the guest appearance of Laurie Metcalf you might also enjoy the (US version of) Getting On..

  • I've only watched the first episode, got the other 2 on the backburner. Just feels like a piece of theatre, it's great.

On another note after last night's Happy Valley I can't help but feel like the absolute tonne of stuff going on is a bit too much.

The Night Manager on Sunday as well, looking forward to it...

  • Pretty Little Liars... has surprised me with how good it is so far (first season). I was expecting some sort of shitty teen SATC thing when Ms Hammer put it on.

  • Anyone watching Trapped?

  • Longmire.

Pretty decent Wyoming set cop drama. Plenty of stuff about horses, cowboys and native Americans.

If you watch and wonder where you've seen the main character before, he was an agent in The Matrix.

  • Trapped> Not yet? Any good? I do like the Scandinavian dramas.

  • Only watched the first one, it felt a little like Sky Fortitude at first. Will probably watch more do like a scandi drama, means I have to stay awake else I have no clue what is going on.

  • Like Longmire easy viewing, the books are quite good aswell.

  • I watched the first episode, quite enjoyed it. Lot of emphasis on the weather but that's Iceland.

  • Anyone else watched Love? I'm only a few in but it's great.

  • Horace & Pete, watched it because Louis CK, it's odd, essentially filmed theatre and a bit slow and dark but has some funny moments. Would be better if each episode was shorter but it's probably trying to be something. I quite like how they bang on about the place being open for 100 years like it's amazing yet most places I go, including my house, have been around longer.

  • I've not read the novel, but thoroughly enjoyed the first episode of The Night Manager, feels very classy.

  • Vinyl is looking distinctly like a finely-chopped line of white dogshit.

Still, there's S2 of Better Call Saul. Hurrah!

  • Yo! Ping me your sort code!

  • I enjoyed it too, but you'd think they chosen an actual transgender actress to play the dad.

Not keen on Jill Soloway tho.

  • Am not sure the actors playing the two daughters are bi sexual - but this would not seem a requirement to play their parts.

What makes the series is the incredible acting. He plays the he part very well, and starts out as pre op. I'd guess he was chosen for his acting ability.

  • Yup. Enjoyed last nights episode. Hoping for a bit more menace in the next episode though.

The Shadow Line (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1701920/) is still the best thing the BBC have done in the last 5 years. I want this to be along those lines.

  • Lucifer.

13 minutes of episode one and OFF. And i ruddy love a bit of satan.

how does this shite get past the planning phase?

  • 11.22.63 - Not bad so far, nice cars if nothing else.

  • He has nice teeth.

  • Anyone else watched Love? I'm only a few in but it's great.

Got halfway through EP1 the other day and the gf fell asleep. Seemed decent.

  • Visually it's great. Acting is a bit shaky in parts and the whole thing feels a bit.... Flat? No sense of menace - just a series of events.

I'm still enjoying watching it though - and will probably watch the whole thing.

  • That as may be, representation is still pretty important, I was a bit uncomfortable by just how many white peoples are in Transparent.
