700c wheels?
will look. also looking (still) at bakkie panniers. but i'm dubious. -

Although £260 is pushing it to the "just pedal a bit fucking harder bucko" territory.

I use one of these:

Mounted with aluminium plate underneath.. works a treat

Trail gator is much cheaper than the follow-me above - can be had for about £30-£50 on ebay (make sure you get all the fittings though! I bought an incomplete one :( :

Neat thanks for posting that

though, how do i do the alu plate? do you have your own workshop?
-

Just buy a piece of aluminium plate off ebay and drill two holes in it

While the Trail gator/follow me seems like the better option, I have successfully secured the front wheel of my daughters bike to the rear pannier rack of my bullitt using an inner tube. The trick I've found is to get the tyre higher on the side of the rack and loop around the handlebar at least once. Oh and allow time to secure it as it is a bit of a faff. HTH

Great. If it's nowt special it's no real problem.

Also intriguing.

It sounds like for this use you need a FollowMe as mentioned but I've also seen TowWhee tow ropes recommended (depending on how old your kid is) if they're comfortable steering but they're tired.
I don't have a kid, but if I did I'd just ratchet strap them and their bike to the front of my Omnium

Can an adult and one child sit on the back of those big Ute long board things? Asking for a dad of two very squished kids in a madjax
-
• #9268
We get one adult, one 5 year old and one 8 year old. It does get a bit squirmy with the adult at the back.
One adult one kid no bother.

Damn.
I'm now about to go down a rabbit hole. -

Trying to find a 9mm bolted thru axle to replace the one on the front wheel of my bullitt, which has a qr lever.
I don't know if I'm just simple but I can't seem to find any without a lever.

I fitted the curved rear bar that allows the child seat to move further backwards on the GSD. Asked ms_com if she could fit on the bench in front of the child seat. That didn't go well. Without the bulky child seat it would probably be OK.

Forgot to charge the battery yesterday, and fuck doing the whole drop off journey on pre-coffee leg power. Took the car, it was miserable.

I thought about this but with that you cant tip the bike up vertically to get wheel(s) out.
You want a follow me I think.
