very nice, will order the USB cable, I guess needs a PC not a mac?

Yep, some reports that it can be done with Wine. Loads of information about different settings on the electric bike forums - seems the "limitless" profile is a good place to start for a more natural assist.

Simply because i know how to maintain mechanical and have never got the hang of bleeding brakes!

Interesting! Was considering plugging it in to remove the speed cap on PAS but haven't got round to it.

I know Ahearne sorted the handling on his cycletruck by raising the rack. But now his rack's so high you could practically fit a 26" wheel underneath. blech
Cycle-trucks are cool, but once you get past the cool-factor they're an evolutionary dead end.
Linkage steering is the way forward!

Yeah, seems to be the reason I hear most. Fair point

Omnium style one with a small headtube up front and a steering linkage (is that the plan for yours @M_V ?)
Yup. That was the rose joints arrived this morning so got it all put together and just carried a 20kg box to the post office on it and can confirm, it has made it an entirely different bike.
Wish I'd gone with this design from the start as I would have had a continual tube from bb to front headtube If I had.

This looks great

Oh yes, that looks great! Glad it's sorted the steering issues. Happy enough with mine for now, this winter will bring more chopping and fiddling though.

USB cable arrived. Really easy to program (I used the Luna software), the result a much more natural assist, much smoother power output which'll probably save my rear derailleur too. No idea why it comes stock with the weird 1/2 second delay between coasting and power from the motor dropping, but it feels much better without, and I see no reason for the brake or gear shifting sensor like this.
If anyone wants the cable I'll stick it in the post for £10.

Love it. Could have stored that cord somewhere not near the drive/wheel.

I finally got round to finishing this off. I needed to make a disc-mount tab welding jig to position a disc brake. It took me an entire month to get around to it.
It's nice to finally have two brakes.
I'm really happy with this one. It's taken a bunch of iterations of cargo-frames but I have the handling absolutely dialled.
as always, more here if interested:

disc-mount tab welding jig
How did this go?
You want to make another to sell? -
• #5020
Sure, can do.
It's easy enough. I've got a milling machine so it's just a game of plotting out the holes in XY and mounting it to an old axle.
Email me at colin.woof hotmail uk or insta DM me and i'll figure out what i can do for getting one made up. (Email or insta is easiest as I don't keep up to date with messages on lfgss)

I just connected an old bb7 to the disc mount, tightened the pads to full lock and put a hub with a rotor in the dropouts. bit of a bodge, but works fine.

Yeah I've thought about it but since I'm brazing, I don't really want to melt a brake caliper or hub with fire
Yeah, I just uploaded a second photo to that post to show it a bit more clearly. I think I'll modify a stem cell bag to do the same at the bars.
