Ah, I was thinking cargo, with a kid then I can definitely see why you'd want them up front.

I've seen them. As far as stability and strength, they don't compare to a bullitt or similar. Much smaller cargo. Not nearly as resilient. Not the sort of thing I'd want to spend real money on. Good for a hoot. Can carry one child. Wheel base ends up being quite long for all these compromises because of the head angle of the doner bike.
Breaking it down each time is cumbersome and would not really be an activity that makes you feel good.
Personally I'd go with another option. Like a surly big dummy for the kiddos with a Clydesdale fork for added utility. I like this because it's an option that can take a beating. https://www.splendidcycles.com/products/surly-big-dummy
Another option is something like the Tern bikes. They are pretty compact. https://www.splendidcycles.com/tern-gsd

Gsd is super cool but a lot of cash! We did test ride one a while back but didn’t pull the trigger
Tbh, my disc trucker / the tandem will be pretty good long term, and soon the kiddo will be pedalling. Trying to get a 20 is plenty campaign set up for the main road up into town too.

Nice one not sure why he needed to put in a double steering bar but looks good

It's like he paid no attention to the frame's original angles. Now it's super slack with negative BB drop

Ever get an answer to this?

Not yet. I gave London Green Cycles a ring and their advice was to use a Bakfiets crate and adapt it slightly. They stock both my bike and Bakfiets. He went and measured one and said it would go on. The only issue is the Bakfiets steerer tubes are angled back whereas mine is vertical. Bakfiets crates are ~£300 which is actually pretty good value.
The pros of using that is the ability to use Bakfiets accessories and the general hardiness of the Bakfiets crates. Cons I guess is it might look a bit like it's just got a crate off another bike screwed onto it.

Uhhhhhh, well in the grand scale of it being 4-5 sheets of plywood, it’s not great value!
However, some boxes [I’m sure] I’ve seen have been way more expensive than that and were little more than lacquered laser-cut ply. The Bakfiets ones at least are heavily treated and apparently quite happy to live outside in all weather.

just fitted a TMARS SD-432 Long Layback Seat Post. certainly an improvement with the added 25mm of back-set though could ideally do with another cm or so. Or better still, get my little legs to grow so I can raise the saddle! Anyone else have this issue or is it just me being not quite tall enough for my Urban Arrow?

My Workcycles Kr8's box is treated marine ply on the sides and some kind of hardboard on the floor, and has thus far survived five years of outdoor living, so on a cost per mile basis the stock options may well be worth it.

It was great, didn’t ride at all as well as I’d have hoped but it was damn cheap and I didn’t loose anything selling it on.
Really wasn’t built to take much weight... two Bromptons on the back and it really was quite hard work, hence the stooge moto bars!

Looking for some cargo bike advice - We need a bike to cargo 3-5 bike between a shop and officey/storage space about 1 mile away. As far as i can see it's a custom trailer job, i've also seen the omnium's with a few bikes on the front. Anyone got any other reccomendations?
Oh yeah definitely, I think most I’d be saying bullit for sure.
Trailer yes and no, we forked out tonnes on a hamax outback2, but even very light drizzle and kiddo was paddling in water... contacted hamax and was told yeah the air system means there is nothing you can do to stop water coming in... useless in England! So glad we paid trade otherwise would have been a lot more out of pocket.
Kiddo is pretty happy in her thule seat, just thinking as she grows/friends/Siblings/junk hauling.
Probably get a smaller cargo trailer at some point and keep her on the bike / tandem/her bike!
