  • I must sell every single thing I have to get that red fucking Geekhouse.

    Fuck.

  • Nuknow you royal cunt.

  • Do it, it's one fine piece of kit.
Oh, and fuck off now ; P

  • MOOOooooaaaaAARRR here.

  • I don't like the unsupported front rack on the red one.

that was my first thought too! it's waiting for a support to the front fork, the blue one has had it fitted already. V nice so far.

EDIT the flicker page says "finished" in big letters. Hopefully not true!

  • clearly temporary.
has braze on on forks, plus attachments on bottom of rack.

I say it again, Marty= genius.

  • Has anyone notice the little lugged headtube on the blue geekhouse?

    great little touch.

  • Trailer project done. I ended up buying a second hand one from ebay and modifying the hitch mechanism. Seems to be ok. Now I need some bungees and other cargo organisation/securing stuff.
This does mean I've got a spare pair of wheelchair wheels (22" if I remember correctly) that would be perfect for someone else to use as the basis for a trailer. Drop me a pm if you want to see 'em.

  • how are you getting on with the LHT? nice trailer too.

I'm in Love. It's comfy, practical, and under-stated. Perfect!

  • good stuff, they really are ace bikes. I'd love to have one but don't think I'd do it justice. do you find it especially heavy? my next bike will be a cross check built up with racks, guards and possibly a hub gear system. I'm planning a long money raising ride some time next year and think it'd be perfect. that and I just really want one.

  • The bigger the wheel on the trailer, the better.

    I have 16" on mine, and while it's fine, it restrict the length a bit otherwise it'd scrap on the road (as pictured) when going over a sleeping policeman for instance;

Jammy, if you can, try and swap the original wheel for the 22" wheelchair one if it's possible.

  • Ed

I really think you should get yourself on a frame building course asap

  • He has to move up to the gaffa tape course first.

can i see a photo of these wheelchair wheels?
I'm intrigued as to how they'd attach to something.
I reckon I could knock out a decent trailer with the time on my hands, plus I need something to do.

  • If we all combine the trailers we all have, we could make a trailer snake.

I'd love to pull that in traffic.

Obviously would need more than 1 speeds.

Not sure if that'll work. Trying out a new app for the iPhone. It should be photos of those wheels...

  • white/grey tyres, hipster.

  • SF- I'd wait for the Singular Kite...

I wanted something similar to that frame, and got it built for me.

Massively late in reply to this, but I'm now looking at the Salsa Vaya frame, and sticking to standard derailier gears. I simply have too many innocent parts, funtioning well on my commuter, as it stands to convert to hub gears.

I know! I've looked in to it though: Schwalbe marathon plus are available in the correct size to replace 'em.

  • Going to pick up carry freedom trailer today, bit excited, over a bloody trailer!

The main reason for that is that it can cope with a lots of weight, have a decent hook, and most importantly, can be manipulated anyway I like (longer arm to attach to the bike, widening the wheelbase, easy to pack away).

  • Cool - looking forward to pics

Good move! Large or small? And where are you getting it from?

  • Large, veloturion got them in stock, really good to ride, bounce all over though but that's sorted by lowering the pressure on the tyres.
