It's actually a Tijmen special, though I won't deny the Dyed in the Wool bag was an inspiration.

Our dog and I have an agreement where she just balances on the front and I don’t break too hard.
We use a harness with a carabiner attaching her to a slack bungee and that means she knows where the middle of the rack is. Sometimes she stands up but mostly she sits or lays down, for long days I put a small bed pillow thing down for her as it is more comfortable.
She is very chill but also I think it’s not super hard to train a dog to enjoy it, it’s like having their head permanently out of a window, encouraging them to sit on it whilst it’s stopped, giving them chew treats to focus on whilst riding are both helpful things. Also our dog doesn’t think she can get off of the bike she always has to be lifted off.
She is about 17kg

never wanted a dog more.

Also soft fold down travel crates are a great place to start as you can ratchet the crate to the rack and the dog gets used to it super quick

Lol. My dog just ate his way out and then jumped off.

sounds like he’s smart enough to ride his own bike!

Nice! Bit of collie in there helps I think, Collies are genetically programmed to enjoy riding on quad bikes, tractors, or TBH anything that moves them in the direction of a more fun walk
Our old lady dog used to strongly dislike going on any cargo bike, but now shes genuinely ancient shes finally caved and will 'allow us' to put her in front of a long john, if road is smooth she just curls up and watchs world go past.

I looked into getting a more expensive cargo bike and was really keen to get the Moustache lundi cargo bike but it never seemed to be in stock. We got the Mycle bike in September and it while it is good value I sort of think I should have spent the extra cash and got something like the GSD.
Have a couple of niggles such as the rear wheel spokes squeaking annoyingly when compressed. The disc brakes have been very tricky to stop rubbing. More worryingly the bike was not cutting off at the legal limit and was heading to 23mph. The company are slow to respond to emails but this is I suppose the danger of ordering via an online only store. The motor is a bit unrefined and it can feel like the bike just lurches forwards on the highest assistance. The higher centre of gravity has meant it can be awkward to handle when loaded with 2 kids and my wife has struggled in particular while manoeuvring the bike around.
On another note I got the bakkie cycles pannier to fit the large diameter tubing on the pannier rack and really impressed.

I haven't used either, but the DITW looks more sturdy to me, and I like the diverse colour options.
I've got the LvH BBX panels+tarp myself, and I quite like it.

ah annoying there are ongoing issues!
looking at the spec id want to swap the cheap mechanical disc brakes for some entry level shimano hydro and fairly decent rotors I think. If you’re finding the motor lurchy (which is consistent with my limited experience re most hub motors) it might be worthwhile spending on hydro brakes with motor cut off..? Or it maybe possible to modify the assistance curve, have heard of people doing it with their bafang mid drives.
Almost certainly worth getting the wheel spoke tensions looked at, and also getting a bike shop to check the speed sensors.
I think an ebike specialist (like Besbike) could prob look at all this for you, and it will still end up considerably cheaper than a tern so maybe worth investigating
Although if you don’t like the cargo bike because of the high centre of gravity and maybe want to get something different it’s understandable you wouldn’t want to spend money on it.

I’m reaching the end of the line with getting two kids in the madjax box.
This is making me sad and anxious. Is there anyone in here with skills to do a box that would provide a top and tail seating arrangement for a bullit?
Evening all. What recommend ye for a Bullitt bag?
Bagaboo ones come up in the search, look fairly on point for what I think I will be needing. Does anyone here have experience of them?
Thanks as always
