  • sounds good, i've also a pile of inner tubes to be tied over the rack to reduce friction but also maybe rattling.

althoug i still prefer my trash with more delicate matters, don't have to be too careful with riding either

  • Yeah, things do still bounce about a bit. I've found static tie downs (toestraps) rather than elastic (bungee cords) helps a lot too though.

  • I read somewhere that the front wheel can be pretty floppy when riding no handed regardless of cargo weight, is it something you noticed?

  • Have to say that can't remember ever riding it without hands, although I presume it wouldn't be a problem since the steering feels very stable with 2.0" tires anyways..

  • Pavol's bike delivery bike, it's better when he uses the bullit and has a load on the front too.

  • Tasty stuff here!

  • Like the look of those mounted bags ... I need a set of those!

  • Has anyone got a Bullitt (or similar, ie Xtra Cycle) in East London, available tomorrow (Fri 23rd Sept) morning?

We need you to ride for a tracking shot in Victoria Park, E3, with photographer and small amount of kit onboard. 07.00hrs prompt for approx 1.5hrs, £100 cash, probably breakfast, and the start of a glorious career in the film industry.

Let me know what type of bike you have, and I can pass on the production company details.

  • I can do this, on a Long Bakfiets or maybe a Bullitt. Work in TV industry too if this helps.

  • Thanks for the reply, and great news; will pm you details in a sec.....

  • Unfortunately Platypus is unable to do this (due to some unforeseen news, nothing to do with bike suitability), so still available if anyone is available for hire.

  • Jamie at SBC cycles owns one of the sickest Bullitt builds out there, he might: http://www.sbccycles.com/jamies-bullitt-cargo/

I have messaged him but havent got a reply.

  • good idea Amey, thank you, appreciated!

  • Much new Douze Delivery bike has arrived in London.

I will build it this week and deliver ALL THE CHAMPAGNE with zero emissions.

  • The bike has been built!

    Comes in two halves:

Steering is done by cables, not a rod bar.

Hydraulic disc brakes and new Schwalbe tyres suitable for e-bikes (up to 50km/h):

    Gates carbon belt:

    Voila!

  • That looks great!

  • HHSCB?

  • This is awesome! Is it nuvinci n380 gears?

Also I popped some winter tyres on a customers butchers and bicycles during the week, the perfect mix of super stable and really lively. Even on super shiny plate glass ice! Best winter cargo bike apart from velove that I tried in Göteborg

  • at some point you have to admit what you need is a van not a bike

  • nuvinci n380

It is a Nuvinci N380 indeed.

Feels great to ride, never in the work gear and can take the cargo weight without any issues

  • And is a picture of my Douze Cargo in action - Doing Champagne sampling.

The box is large enough to fit 36 bottles, ice bucket, ice, glasses, biscuits and business cards...

  • Why not both?

  • We (Velo Domestique) recently finished building this Omnium Cargo for our coffee suppliers South Coast Roast.

We have fitted it with Sram Rival1 1x11 with XT 11-42 cassette and Guide R hydraulics. The end result is super lightweight for its size and a dream to ride. Personally for anyone looking to purchase a cargo bike that they can instantly hop on and ride without any difficulty (with of without a load) then this is the one.

  • I'm seeing some Urban Arrow inspiration in the modular front/rear frame solution.

I wonder why it has a top tube as it does very little in the way of rigidity (and makes getting on and off the bike more difficult)
