Dt, Aido and I are booked on the train lunchtime Saturday arriving mid afternoon I think? We're going back Monday morning.

We haven't booked bikes on but were just going to put them in bike bags as luggage. Manchester peeps - do you think this will be okay or do you recommend we try and re-book? I've never been to Manchester before...

pretty sure there are only 3 places on each virgin train for bikes (in the luggage carriage, prebooked). but they have to be prebooked, if not they will not let you put your bike on, even if there is space.

don't think they're THAT strict, i've got my bike on virgin trains without a booking and even when i've had a booking no-one has questioned me putting them on, obviously it might be a good idea to co-ordinate trains between polo teams so you're not trying to get 9+ bike on a single train...

oh ad FWIW i think they actually have 4 spaces, 3 that can be preebooked and 1 for people who turn up.... i was told this on the phone by a Cross Country rep yesterday, guessing Virgin is similar....

Yeah, i guess you can sign up on the day as a few teams in Manc can't play now.

I'm teamless... as the rest of my team are students who spend all their time on here instead of doing their dissertation and have decided that their edukashun is more important than polo...... i'm up for being part of some sort of mongrel/hybrid superteam if anyone else is up for it...?
