Jack white Ali Pali 2 November...
It was a great night at Ally Pally. Never seen a gig their before. Great space, festival like atmosphere.
(the support act Willy Moon was like an 80's time-warp and his guitarist, Rosie the Cat, turned out to be my ex housemate. She played a mean guitar

I have a spare ticket for M83 at Brixton Academy, Thursday 8th. Cost me £26 inc fees but prepared to negotiate. Anyone interested?

I had unreasonable expectations as the first time I saw them was almost a religious experience for me. While it wasn't quite the tear inducing performance I saw a couple of years ago they still remain one of the best live bands I have ever seen, hope you enjoyed it!
Alt-J was actually really awesome too, if a little short (I think their entire set was only 50 minutes!) the songs translate VERY well live, and all of a sudden you could see the potential for them turning from an awkward indie band into something massive. winning.

Well, GY!BE were excellent (no surprises there). Their fourth or fifth track (I lack the knowledge of their works to quote the track titles) was a bit thin but their set came to a v satisfying conclusion. The subsequent auditory disturbances reminded me of seeing Loop back in 1988 - a sense of whispering going on nearby, with a high-pitched whistling over the top. Was I too close to the speakers again?

that was essentially my (partly financially motivated) decision. although i've only seen him once with band, and a whole bunch of times with others.
also the much smaller venue has better boozes, which is always a plus.

If anyone fancies a nostalgia trip, I have a ticket going for Hundred Reasons/Hell is for Heroes/Cable at the Forum on the 24th.
The problem with being in a band is that whenever I buy tix in advance we get booked for a show. Gutted.
