  • Saw Torche last night supported by Part Chimp... Part Chimp were very good, much heavier than I was expecting

Torche seem to be heading down the pop-rock road, I'm not comfortable with this

Anyway, Monster Magnet the rock walrus is back on our shores and it should be a good one. Beers beforehand in the Black Heart

  • ... rock walrus ...

    Repped!

  • +1

what time do we think the mm gig will finish?

in time for me to get to south wimbledon on the northern line?

  • The ballroom will have a night club after so I reckon we'll be chucked out 10.30 at the latest

Just depends if you come for post gig beers doesn't it

  • you know what will happen.

  • Friday I saw Therapy?, Sunday was Bow Wow Wow and Adam Ant. Both of which were incredible gigs. Tonight it's off to see The Fall. I am possibly living in the past a little musically...

How was The Fall gig? I like how every time they play it's different , makes a nice change from bands that play the same set over and over again. Mark E. is good at changing it up.

Off to see Art of Burning Water at the Unicorn in Camden tonight... free gig so if you're looking for something to do it's worth checking it out.

Fall gig was great if a little short. Other than at a couple of festivals in the early 90's I hadn't actually seen them until the 2009 Camden Crawl and even then only because I had free tickets. Last night was the 3rd time since then and they are an incredible live band. Watched from the balcony and got to really appreciate the crazy erratticness of Mark E Smith.

I am in camden tonight funnily enough, Jimbob of Carter USM playing with an orchestra - should be interesting and then if time permits off to see The Bridport Dagger though I think the timing will be wauy too close, not sure I could fit a 3rd gig in!

  • I was at The Fall gig last night - it was immense and hypnotic. Best Fall gig I've been to. My bike's front light got broken though.

How many times have you seen them? Must admit glad I dragged my broken body out to watch it. Though sober gigs in the balcony are an odd experience!

  • That was just my third time, but easily the best. It was manic down the front – total liberation. Muzorweri’s Daughter finished me off good and proper.

  • I was at The Fall gig also. Incredible tight band plus grumpy rambling old git. Always impressive.

Never forget the time I saw him do a whole show in a wheelchair.Thought it was a piss take then found out he had just had a hip operation.

My mate was the original bassist in Part Chimp and I saw them a couple of times. Ear splittingly loud.

  • hold the phone... what's this?

i went along to that last night. was a good un, wish i'd had some money to spend on records. enjoyed attack! vipers! a lot.

  • Im mad excited about this tour. Music from my youth, gotta find my inner skater boy http://www.blink182.com/events/

  • Titus Andronicus at the Scala last night, awesome live show!

That must have been weird. Though I have visions of him causing chaos in the wheelchair which is an amusing image.

Saw a friends band last night The Subliminal Girls, superbly chaotic celebrating the anniversary of their last ever gig. Offended hipsters walking out is always a bonus.

Don't have a gig for a whole 10 days now, possibly the longest I've gone all year. Though I suppose could go and see Billy Bragg on Wednesday to rectify this...

  • Bought my roadburn tickets today... awesome

  • ATP Godspeed You! Black Emperor Festival this weekend, bleak post rock and metal in a grey cold rain seaside town. Can't fucking wait.

  • I have two spare tickets for Best Coast at the Scala tomorrow, £13 each. Lemme know if you're interested.

    godspeed X3!!!

  • Off to see The Agitator up in Camden tomorrow:

YouTube - The Agitator - Give Me All That You Got

The stuff on youtube doesn't come close to how good he is live. Probably my discovery of this year.

  • Morning of the gig/show bumpity-bumpage...
