I was in there last night watching Alborosie, great night out.

Want another night out? You might as well have them for free.

Thanks for the offer, I am hanging and have to go out on a work's Christmas meal tonight ☹

Fair enough, if you know anyone who is keen...

Worth sticking in here on the off chance:

Looks like the Paul Heaton and Jacqui Abbot gig with Billy Bragg supporting will be a weird one. Seem to be a number who aren’t happy about having the football on and looking to shift tickets on twitter at least so they’re putting on some bands and carols on the concourse as well.

I was at Glastonbury in 1986 watching Madness whilst England were playing Argentina. The band had tv screens to watch the game as they played, it all fell apart when Maradona scored that goal.

None of this seems like an enjoyable experience.

This sounds grim, hope everyone will pull through from it

Plastic People at Printworks 12.00-23.00 Saturday, sleep, Spectrum 15.00-3.00 Sunday.
That’s a top weekend right there.

Always wanted to go to FWD @ Plastic People, anyone been?

You’ll struggle now. It shut 7 or 8 years ago. On my birthday.
Do the Printworks party. No lineup yet but it’ll probably be Four Tet, Ben UFO, Floating Points etc. Bit of a different scale to Plastic People itself, but with Printworks shutting too it’s going to be a corker.

Yes, noise complaints wasn't it?
-

Yeah it was contributory I think though they also said they felt it had run its course and wanted it to die a hero rather than fade.
Go to all the places while you can.

I was always under the impression that Printworks was always a temporary thing whilst planning was being sorted for a redevelopment of the site. Thought it actually ended up going for a few years more than they'd planned.
They have the Beams instead now, but I've not been to know how it compares.

Yep. Closes April.
We were on about Plastic People that used to be in Shoreditch.
Beams has windows. Clubs with windows are always great. Love me a sunrise bop.

Love me a sunrise bop
Think that would kill me nowadays!!
Jerry Sadowitz last night at the Apollo. Oh my word. I don’t think I’ve ever said “fucking hell” to myself so many times at a gig before. Brutal, but also cripplingly funny.
