  • Wanted to possibly go see a band on Saturday, no kiddies, parents might out and all...
    Luminaire... Closed permanently
    Buffalo Bar... Closed permanently
Feeling old, didn't even know they'd closed doors!
Not having much interest with what remains open that I can remember...

Give me some options... What's on and where Sat 1st Aug?

  • Anyone at Tigers Jaw and Foxing tonight?
Charmer is one of my favourite albums of the last few years.

  • me me me!

  • Defo a Team USM kit ride into the hills kinda day today...

  • Ha!

Wore mine to commute in today.

Also - is that a c. 2011 Nanolight in black? I haz 2011 Nanolight in white. We should so ride together, we'd look well pro.

  • This was first "proper" ride in the jersey too (rather than city riding), it was perfect for in the sun today no base layer needed. As it has that polka dot vibe it was nice to be taking it up some hills too. Chapeau to Milltag once more.

Bike is c 2007 SL Carbon. Be up for a Team PX USM FKW* ride if you're ever up in Mcr.

*Dibs for my Fantasy Vuelta team name.

  • Hope it was good! Train cancellations after an Audax meant I didn't get back to London until near 11:00pm. Gutted is not the word.

  • I went to a gig by the wonderful Dalla tonight. I only had the recommendation today, but what an amazingly surprising evening. Totally loved it.

  • Born Ruffians at the 100 Club last week was excellent.

  • Just discovered I have two spare tickets for RIDE at Brixton tomorrow-anybody want them for £25 each?

  • I haven't been able to shift these, so if anyone wants them for free, pm me, I'll be in brixton from 7, the band come on at 8pm...downstairs standing.

  • Got four tickets for Father John Misty at Sheps Bush Empire this Thursday 29th. They're going for £50-£80 on viagogo etc. Your for face value of £18 each. Will stick in classifieds today. PM me if you wants. Cheers.

  • Last minute tiny 65DOS show at Tufnell Park Dome on friday, anyone in?

  • I'm going to see Dave Davies again on the 18th December. It's at Islington Assembly Hall. Highly recommended (will be sold out, so get tickets now).

  • Chvrches was great last night, shame it was all the way at Ally fucking Pally

  • So, what sort of cunt goes to a Slayer gig to pickpocket people in the mosh pit? I realised two songs in that I'd been robbed, another couple of guys were scanning the floor, thinking they'd dropped their phones. Nope.

Anyway, last thing I saw before leaving the pit was @Object crowd surfing over my head, probably boosted by @hillbilly. Hopefully he wasn't kicked out.

  • That sucks, sorry to hear that!

  • That does suck, hope you all got there early to see Kvelertak!?!

  • Brixton Academy?

It's a massive problem there, it happens most gigs. They wait for it to kick off near the front to a big song and do a sweep of as many people as they can. Cunts.

Still the best London venue tho.

  • Yeah, Brixton. Staff were very unsurprised, so guessed it wasn't a one-off.

Kvertelak were boss. Though it seemed a little questionable of the singer to be waving a black flag at a metal gig. Too soon, dude.

  • Bonzo Dog Doodah Band last night. Most of the audience weren't exactly in the first flush of youth, and a couple of the band were distinctly ancient, but the whole thing was fantastic. I don't think there are many bands so truly eccentric.

  • Faust / Nurse With Wound / Cut Hands on Saturday night. Very much looking forward to it.

  • Coming down to London on the 16 of Feb for the Spring King gig on Oxford St. Unsure of what time the gig will finish and to not have to rush around I've booked the latest train back from Liverpool St at 23:30. Say I get out mega early and have loads of time to kill, is there actually anything to do in that area late on a weeknight? (Apart from the obvious pub)

  • Off to see Shellac play an instore at Tym's Guitars in Brisbane today...

I've seen so many great bands (for free!) there since I've arrived, really lucky to have this place here... Tim is revered around the world so everyone wants to come and play in his shop... 👍
