Question of supply and demand for a luxury product. Other than the ethics in how the product gets made there are none as far as I'm concerned.
If some kid wants to pay me over a grand for a pair of trainers than so be it.
A pair of celebrity-endorsed trainers manufactured for pennies aren't a luxury product.

Exactly. I'd rather have nothing to do with the whole thing and not profit from people's susceptibility to hype.

They're a luxury product/good in the sense that they aren't a necessity.

Luxury products aren't something you need, they're something you want.
There's a difference.

WTF is it with "vintage" trainers.... I mean, really?
Because the addition of that "V" word allows sellers to shift the decimal place for idiots to spend over the odds to look like facebook buddies with Thora Hird and Compo and reek of moth balls...They tend to be quite 'creative' too.
I shift your "v" 90°

How much were they @ rrp?
That's quite a high BIN too, eBay will take about £80 of that and then Paypal about £50

So, it's sort of summer and i still can't find any trainers I like. Anyone got any suggestions? Got plenty of vans, thinking nike but nothing too fashion. Blazers? Loved those flyknits but thinking they aren't an option.

£210 to buy. Yeah, I think you're probably right G - there was some bumpf when I listed the item but I didn't read. To be honest, even that amount of bay and pal tax, I'm well chuffed - paid for the missus and I flights to Berlin in August. Sorry to sound mercenary! I was dead lucky to get in with a shot of buying them in the first place.....

Not at all, fair play...there's plenty of muggins out there, I did the same with my 'Flyknits', just didn't quite get the same margin as you
Have a bratwurst for me in Berlin J! ;-)
