congratulations, I still look at the price tag and can't convince myself to pull the trigger. Still like the look of them though..

Yeah definitely a bit of a treat. F*ck it I've saved a fortune from working from home.

Do you reckon they could take a half crampon? Looking for some comfy hiking shoes for days where we aren't doing anything particularly technical.

I've got my eye on a couple of pairs of totally superfluous adidas basketball trainers which are in the sale, which add upto not much less. I'm seriously thinking of pulling the trigger. Only thing that is stopping me is that I don't really need them, and I've already got two pairs of totally superfluous nike basketball trainers, sitting unworn under the sofa. Not sure the missus would be able to take four pairs of trainers not being worn, taking up space.
But I do WANT them...

Gold club thread in 3...2... (Jokes, trainers are always n+1 IMO).

I'm out of my depth here, have no idea what makes a good crampon shoe. They feel sturdy and firm, quite chunky compared to what I normally wear, qualities that may or may not lend them to cramping.

Some Stan Smiths are but not all of them... I think they made a limited range last year

Haha, sorry bad joke! I know it's a sore point, I agree for what it's worth.

I've never been to one so thought jazzy xmas 90s, and a hot pink Ma3k hub t shirt would be ideal.

I’d be concerned about not getting my feet back after inserting them into the maw of those shoes.

Still never won a SNKRS raffle but seem to be on the exclusive access list; got priority access to the grey Jordan XI too after Off White Dunks and Patta Air Max. I hated them in in 2001 so they were sold before they got delivered.
Put the best shoe I’ve ever owned in for a Vibram sole replacement so should get these back after Xmas. UK 10.5 Atmos Max 95 are unicorn shit

Go full sole swap.
KScustoms or GOVRN
-
• #22771
Nah, the current AM95 sole unit is gopping. The Stashes KScustoms just put up look wrong.

AM1 sole…..
Whilst I agree I would just love to see these shoes continue long term, also KS great workmanship but sometimes the ideas are horrific. Prefer GOVRN myself.

Interested to see what the vibram looks like post up once you get them back. I have a pair of sta Smith mids I like to re-sole

I can’t say if it’s the best but Crep Protect works fine
@cornelius_blackfoot I purchased the Dazzler TERREX FREE HIKERS on your recommendation, and they're great; cosy, snug and stylish for the winter months, just the ticket. Will not be climbing Everest in them.
