I have an American friend coming over to stay, who is a complete trainer nut - what are the best shops in London for him to check out?

METEOR SPORTS on Bethnal Green Road has the best dead stock collection I have seen in London.

There are some terrible shoes in the world. I had the misfortune of going inside 'Niketown', a name which is a total fucking annoyance to me, the other day. Horrendous. Actual adults creaming themselves over breathtakingly ugly multi-coloured trainers.

Pretty good. I used to have the black 500's with the red trim. Loved those trainers.

Would be better if more colour/accent on the toe box.

Plus if they used a heavier gauge mesh.

I had the Oki Ni Adistars in white / green with flouro accent.

Still got em, but a bit knackered now.

Never liked the bow line on the toe. Just sayin.
