Dunks are bomb proof whilst all my AF1 from same era with white midsoles go piss yellow from oxidisation.
The killer of old Nike EVA midsoles is fungus which will just get into it and rot it from the inside out almost literally. Thats what kills all your 80's runners and b-ball shoes when midsole starts going grey and mottled then falls apart. Nike came up with Phylon which was fungus proof pretty much but the adhesives they use just seem to be randomly resistant to aging.

These are 2003 and about to fall to pieces. Such a shame as they're deadstock as fuck.
Was wearing mine only yesterday.

Right helmets, mine are dated 1st May 2003(050103)
not trying to be picky, but that doesn't say 2003. It reads from the beginning, so production year is 2005 and the shoes were in production between January (01) and March (03)

Is that only on older Nikes? I have a pair of Pegasus '89 here that say 06/29/09 and I don't think there are 29 months in a year.

yes, nike changed that at some point, there is another line on the size tag which gives information about the production year. I don't think the first pegasus retros came in 2006 either, rather 2010, no?
-yes 2009, see below, so it should read sth. like 09/29/09 on the other side

for example here is an older size tag compared to a newer one. Not my pics, just a quick google image search

I saw the biggest fucking hipster I have ever seen in my fucking life this lunchtime getting on the tube with a Patta bag. Not one of you cunts is it?
All the 00's dunks have good soles still. I think it's the PU foam shite they put in runners that falls apart. Painting them seems to give you a bit more time before they fall apart, maybe, two more years.
Talking of Footpatrol collabs, I got my Stabs (I not II) out a week or so ago and now realise just how bad they are.
