Could'nt resist posting that pic. Very nice fishtail! There are other pics in the sequence that show the track burn and ripped skinsuit. Ouch. Fortunately that was all. I'm amazed that there weren't any broken bones.

Did you see the skid mark Bauge left on the track after that skid? It was MASSIVE.

the crash in the madison smashed up the brits bike quite badly
carbon forks just aren't meant to be ridden head long into kerbs / other riders are they !

Reade + Pedleton have won the last two team sprint championships. You can't really say she's not a track rider even if she spends time training for BMX whereas Pedaltonne does not. It's her job to be fast out of the gate so I'd imagine BMX would only help that.
I kept mistaking the French for the Brits and even the bloody Aussies had white Toshiba kit so they were practically invisible to me.

Can somebody explain to me why in some races they wear the GB kit, and others the white SKY sponsership??

Yeah there were far too many similar kits.
Cuba, France, GB all looked similar when they whizzed past. -

Its all Sky sponsored. They ride in White if they're the World Cup winner in that discipline.

Oh, I get it! As in the World cup series, but not the world championship (rainbow jersey)
I was under the impression Sky was sponsoring the GB team, maybe getting confused with the new road team...

the women's 100 lap points race yesterday was awesome. well done Amitstead - particularly for knocking the american off (though it was her own fault i reckon).

Yeah, she was good. I would say it was probably the Americans fault. She should really have been aware of what was going on beneath her on the track.

It was the US birds fault.
She came down the banking way too fast and basically rode into the other girl's back wheel.
That crash was nuts, you see his tub come clean off and just throw him.
It wasn't half as bad as the womens 100 lap points. two head ons in that one pile up the second was so strong she got threw from her clips and straps..
