Yeah, got a red grifter after the yellow chipper but then it went a bit downhill with the arena and was ok for a bit with a yellow mag burner but finally surfaced with a nice chrome silverfox:-) Is there a 'bikes we once owned' thread?

I broke my collar bone trying to get up an almost vertical ramp (plank on bricks!) on a Grifter aged about 11 or 12 - Grifters are indeed very heavy!
I always wanted a Bomber myself!
the bomber never really bombed i remember my mate purbrick trying to jump over the remains of a honda c90 we set on fire. we'd all done it on our bmx's but sadly with the weight of that raleigh he never had a chance.
still brings a smile after all these years. -

i think i saw one of those Bomber at the Battersea car boot about two weeks ago it was white and gray ss version, it had already been sold for £7. saw the bloke out side who bought it and he said he would sell for £30 notes...i was half tempted.

I went over a tiny jump on my mates bomber and bent the forks so much that the front wheel wouldn't turn.

Burners FTW! I have the black/gold anodized ultra burner. Heavy as sin, but a great cruiser.

Enter: Wildcat, i was one very proud owner. Having a bike with sound effects, for a 5 year old boy, is like discovering that Father Christmas is in fact very real and that he actually shits choco Mr Whippy's AND, because you've been so good, he is going to give you the electric guitar come raygun come hoverboard you always wanted.

I still remember the Raleigh Stryker we (my bro and I) used to have. Was almost a family heirloom untill the handlebars snapped off when I was riding it.
My Bro riding it in something like 1985 I'd guess. -
