Pretty cool, if no access to TV or digital radio.

  • Kimi's woken up! He's up to second, but still about 7 tenths off the best time in friday practice.

  • I sent him a text and told him if he doesn't sharpen up the consequences will be dire :p

    glad hes listening hehe

  • Did you do the same to Massa too? =P

I'm thinking of putting a bet for him on the podium this weekend.

Massa now has the fastest working car on track!

  • oh ya, me and Massa are tight ;)

Ferrari have a change in strategy, lots of change in the red camp...so I heard :)

  • I decided against betting Massa on the podium at 8.25 odds, I really hope I regret that decision.

  • Just heard that if Bourdais doesn't sort himself out by Monaco he may be replaced by a certain young BBC commentator =P

Piquet also up for review (as usual)

  • ^ no surprises there, his driving has been terrible

that crash kind of sealed Piquets fate a little me thinks....

bit like Sato...remember how bad he was? dont know how he lasted as long as he did

  • Yeah Piquet has always been pretty horrible, spent more time in reverse and playing in the sand than racing, gotta admit, I actually liked Sato, I guess it was the underdog thing that made me like him, this is hilarious (especially the Japanese commentary): YouTube - Sato vs Alonso in Canada 2007 (USA,UK,SPA,JPN)

Good to see both Ferraris in Q3! Looks like the teams are starting to catch Brawn too.

Aww poor Sutil, looks so down walking into the Red Bull garage to explain himself to Webber, after what happened in Malaysia this year and especially Monaco last year the guy really deserves a break.

  • whats seriously to like about Sato? hes the under under underdog!
he must have more crashes per race than any other driver in history... there's a good reason why he never made it past about 12/14th

  • This next race looks a bit more promising, everything crossed... dibs for Kimi on pole :p

  • great! ...forget the rain.... its all about sand storms now.... that sounds like fun :/

  • It's nice to support the little guy =P and they don't come much littler than Sato!

Gonna miss tomorrows race, looks like it's gonna be a good one too!

  • interesting qualifying, thought the red rockets would do a little better.

    mccarthy, whats this about?!

"replaced by a certain young BBC commentator =P"

Not wanting to give anything away, but someone with a name ryhming with Anthony Davidson may be getting ready to jump into Bourdais' seat =P

  • Been in Monaco all week and got to drive some of the track/road on the way thru. Was a huge buzz! :)

How the hell did you swing that one you lucky bastard!

  • BBC SPORT'S FUEL-ADJUSTED GRID (with projected race first pit stops)

    1 Trulli (lap 13)
    2 Vettel (lap 17)
    3 Button (lap 15)
    4 Glock (lap 11)
    5 Hamilton (lap 15)
    6 Barrichello (lap 13)
    7 Massa (lap 20)
    8 Rosberg (lap 21)
    9 Alonso (lap 14)
    10 Raikkonen (lap 22)

  • Looks like the Toyotas are felled light, Vettel will have to make it count.

  • at least a Italian got pole... not quite what I hoped for but fingers crossed for some red action

  • Looks like the Ferraris are on a points strategy, with Massa aiming for some luck and the possibilikty of a podium. In that heat, reliability will really be tested, as will driver fitness.

  • picks ??

    quinella? trifecta?

  • hmm.... potentially no racing in Britain next year?...

  • Aww that'll be a shame for Bernie, means he'll have to move a GP to the middle east and make a load of money, what a shame for him...

  • And we're off!! Go go go!!
