Just seen the race. Pretty good.
Well pleased Kimi got 2nd. Pretty exciting all the way through actually. Well proud of my boys doing awesome pit stops! We've definitely made a decent car this year, which is satisfying . It's actually a shame Pastor couldn't show his hand this time. He was looking pretty hot all weekend.
Anyone find it weird there are almost no spectators at that circuit?! There's like one grandstand and the rest of the track is completely barren. Yet no mention of it by any commentator... I guess that's what happens when Bernie's circus goes where the money is, not where the fans are.

Thanks. I'll give em a pat on the back for you.

Terrific driving from Kimi, faith vindicated!

Also happened last year at Canada, both had massive braking issues within a lap or two of each other.

Bahrain is kind of next door and I tried about five different sources for tickets but couldn't come up trumps. Also, the local version of Easyjet went mental when the dates were announced.
I've spoken to a few people here who I know are serious F1 devotees and not one of them went because they had issues getting hold of tickets.

They clearly need to put up a few more grandstands there then. Place looked empty.

Bahrain isn't quite the same as the UAE. ALL of the money in Bahrain remains with the Royal family - similar to what goes on in Saudi. Everyone assumes that Arabs are all extremely wealthy when the truth is that they're really not. The UAE is slightly different: the Emirati's are all paid a salary of between €6-9k per month. If they work, then they're paid ridiculously inflated salaries for the work that they actually do.
Attending Formula 1 isn't something that's an option for the average Bahraini.

This is a benefits system I could get on board with. Who do I vote for to get this set up here?

You won't.
You have to be born Emirati.

That's the chuckling fellow that's always in the pub, right? He seems like a decent down-to-earth, normal bloke, what's not to like?

He fiddles with kids.

Finally a bit of tech insight into the Honda PU.

Interesting stuff. So basically the "size zero" bodywork doesn't leave any room for cooling.
Nothing a drill wont take care of. -

That looks suspiciously like it is powered by an old hairdryer. Would explain a lot.

Monza has a contract for F1 until 2016 right? So this year should be fine?
-

^^^^That's doing it properly - experimental, verging on crackers engineering which, when it finally comes together should hopefully validate the thinking that went into it.
Remember some of the old turbo engines? I always liked the attitude that led to the quote "If it made a lap, it made 1,400 horsepower".

The latest buzzword in F1 seems to be "New Technology". I swear, every team is going-on about bringing this mysterious new thing to Barcelona. Is it flux capacitors? Have they invented a new type of circle?
Its not really new technology is it now, chaps. What it is, is a slightly revised crankshaft with 1 gram less rotational weight here and a new bearing there, or a higher capacity battery etc. -

Magnets... *taps nose*

Surely development of engine reliability is more important than some new stickers?
Yeah, something to do with the braking electronics. Weird they both had the same issue in the same race.
I liked the red bull's celebratory engine explosion. Well timed.
