YouTube- Lotus Racing - The Story So Far
A video of the new Lotus coming together. Seem to be doing better than Virgin/Manor at the moment, and Campos and USF1 have yet to appear.
They missed out the crash....

They've got Heikki driving, I don't think they needed to tell us there was a crash =P

Anyone been to the 20 years of F1 thing at the science museum?

Massa in the new F10, the re-fuel ban and no Kers should prove interesting this season

The cars look so much better this season, much better proportions because of the larger fuel tanks.

lynx, I really don't "get" you. You suggest the museum (a place where things sit very still), to people who have a love of things that move very fast.
Also, don't you think you could have added the museum link to the post where you asked about the museum in the first place? Wouldn't that be logical? And if no-one answered your question about the museum, do you think we needed reminding with yet another link?
If it was interesting, someone would have said so. Don't YOU "get" it?

To be fair, it's always interesting for me to see how things like this work. Books on this topic don't move very fast, but I still read them =P

What I don't get is this is a question asked, in a F1 thread, if anyone had been to the exhibition at the science museum. Once I found a link I was having problems editing the post and could only add a new post so did.
I believe the point is you don't get it, thats fine. If you feel its such an issue do not hesitate to report it for the mods to decide to see if 'THE GETTING IT' if has been breached.

I amazed by they way the technology developed is used in all walks of live not just motorsport/automotive applications.

It looks interesting and you're right the innovation which filters through into other areas is fascinating. You do, however have to take into account that an exhibit such as the science museum is sponsored by Bernie I should imagine and F1's ulterior motive is always to try and justify their existence to those who feel F1 is just a huge waste of money and damaging to the environment and so they tend to plough time and finance into other 'worthwhile' areas of innovation and public shows like this for PR purposes.
The fuel development is interesting though and will ultimately be a benefit as what they are working on now is better fuel 'stretch' whereby because of the fueling ban they need to try and make the cars go on as little fuel as possible to keep the weight down. Certain premium grade fuel like V-Power is already 97% pure to what is used in f1 and so the new fuel being developed will be passed on to the consumer eventually.

That's one of my favourite facts of F1, you can buy the fuel that they use on your everyday garage forecourts.

What's with that dorsal fin above Massa's head? It just looks like another estate agents car!

Thats oil, not fuel but yes it is developed from F1 usage and so very pure to what they use

In the late 80's formula shell was a fuel that caused a few vehicle to burn valves.
