  • I wouldn't, It's thin enough as it is, notice how flexible it is in the middle.

  • anyone stripped a concor?

  • I've stripped myself once.... only once.

  • .. and an SLR, and a Flite, and a Iscaselle Tornado, and a Turbo.

  • Anyone stripped a toupe and has pictures?

I've never stripped one, and personally wouldn't.
    But I have pictures.

  • Anyone stripped a toupe and has pictures?

Wouldn't it be easier not to wear it? it's a bit pointless when you're already bald.

  • Really want a stripped SLR now after reading this thread, bit late i know...
    Anyone selling an SLR cheapish...

  • Thanks for the feedback guys. The Toupe will stay the same.

  • I do want a stripped SLR now though.

  • Had the same, but I was in time on one of Dylan's SLR's at 15quid a piece. Ha!

  • Why not just buy a carbon SLR?

  • Why not just buy a carbon SLR?

SLR to strip = £40-60 on ebay...

    Carbon SLR = £300...

Hmm i dont know, you've got a good point...

  • £250 actually :-p

    It just looks shit.

  • I don't think it looks shit...

And i'm not gonna buy a saddle thats worth more than my frame :D

  • ^That's my carbon SLR, cost me less than £20, new.

  • i got one last week for 7 squids, :)

  • This might have been asked an answered before, but why would you do this?

  • You save a good 20gr, and this

  • me, for comfort, i prefer it.
and as a bonus, it doesn't soak up water :)

  • I've got a carbon one a normal one and a stripped one sitting here unused.

Obviously that means I don't own enough bikes.

  • This might have been asked an answered before, but why would you do this?

The 'padding' and cover add nothing to the comfort and if the cover is damaged then why not, better than throwing the seat away.

  • that's exactly how i started stripping them, my tore, so removed it, then prefered it.
and have tried unstripped ones, but didnae like it as much

  • This might have been asked an answered before, but why would you do this?

because it looks cool and fits with the stricktly utilitarian, minimalist aesthetic dedicated followers of cycle fashion are pursuing currently.
