It's not the tastes, it's the starting a thread about them or posting about them, and it doesn't wind me up, it just fills me with a kind of bored contempt, and it's the same feeling I get knowing Heat and Nuts and Zoo exist, and I want the forum to be a better place than that.

I don't see what bikes have to do with childish sniggering / arousal and before you say "hey there's loads of threads on here that have nothing to do with bikes" I'll say "many of the unrelated threads on here serve to help forum people get to know each other better and develop friendships". The only thing I'm getting to know on these kind of threads is how dull some people's ideas of titillation are and how puerile their sense of humour can be; I know what genitalia look like, I even have a small collection of my own.

I'm also aware of the many posts I've made with innuendos, double entendres, infantile puns and sex-based one-liners - call me a hypocrite if you like, you'd be missing the point.

I guess I'm just refusing to be thrown in with a culture that grapples clumsily with sex and gender and sexuality and prefers to cheapen them by bandying "acceptable" representations of them around at any opportunity. I'm sick and tired of seeing lowest common denominator shit setting the parameters for the norm and I'm tired of people's appetite for shamelessness in the name of freedom. It's just not very classy for my money and it seems to encroach on many different aspects of life these days.

Whatever reason Mitre_Tester had to post this thread it's fairly seedy thread, no pun intended but instantly recognised; I've objected to the tits and ass shots in other threads and posts too recently, don't think this is about bellends in lycra cos it ain't.

Maybe I just feel the forum had more class than this at one time. What used to be acknowledged with the odd ironic posting in the bike porn thread now has threads devoted to it that are entirely one-dimensional and I don't see what the benefit is.
