Nope, got over it in 36 hours. Just a little tummy bug.

Not strictly in the news, but someone seems to think that players of 'fixie polo' are partly to blame for riding on the footway in Dalston:
See the comment from 'Matthew'.

Fixie polo? He must be talking about Vidal?
-
• #1358
I'm sorry, what's he trying to say in that last sentence? Is he trying to promote the cannal's toe path for playing fixie polo on?

I did think that this left a fairly obvious suspect. :)
It is of course more likely that he can't tell a freewheel from a fixed sprocket.

Not really Polo, not really news, but our very own Joni on Style Bubble (London's premier fashion blog) all dolled up in tweed (and wool). http://feedproxy.google.com/~r/StyleBubble/~3/syVvDnyecGY/tweeeeeeeeeeed.html

Ha, Style Bubble?
I'm wearing that bead to polo btw. Gotta love a beard...

I don't recognise you in that photo at all, Joni. I had to look twice down the series of pictures before I realised it must be you in the beard. :)

Got my copy of Boneshaker Mag. It's a good issue and the polo section is very nice. Shame I'm headless in the only picture I'm in!

What's with the relative blackout on this one? Who's been hand picked to play??
-
• #1372
Woody, we only have space for a limited amount of teams (18-20), and because it will be a showcase for polo, we want to get the best teams from around Europe (quite a few big names have confirmed already). Once we've got replies from those teams, we'll open up the remaining spaces, either through invites, or through a qualifier which we hope to hold (and which will be open to anyone who can make it to London).
It's unfortunate that many deserving London and UK teams will have to miss out, we wish we could have more court time, to allow us to get more teams involved.

There isn't a blackout, there just isn't much to say at this moment. I think once all the details are sorted, the correct information will be released.

John H & Sandy, are you guys playing at it?
-
• #1375
Not sure, we won't be invited.
Will be attempt to qualify? No idea, we've not discussed it.
I'm tellin' Bill...
