Alright alright!
Hello, I'm the one got slant eyes srit or whatever!
It's interesting how you think about japan.
To be honest i don't care who are racist or so on here in London. There's plenty of people from different countries. They have different faces and height. I live near Dalston. Its super super different from Japan.
Some wards could be racist wards even you thought just a observation. but thats what we are different, so lets enjoy the difference. recently i had girl friend who grow up in france.
Its so different! But i enjoy!Ok, there's some nice and old japanese bikes on this blog who does restore.
I'm new on here! so don't know how to upload the photoes but have a check!http://blogs.yahoo.co.jp/corsa2003sp/folder/1140512.html?m=lc&p=3
the first pic is Kataoka-shilk pist R1-R(1976)http://blogs.yahoo.co.jp/corsa2003sp/folder/841857.html

personal opinions are only that, those slant eyed little devils are propably really happy with thier component choice, and you are just an intolerant gai-gin. fuck your cultural sensitivity, please join the foreign office, you will fit right in. !!!!!!! taste, you taste like a big mac !!!!!wow you are an unbelievable penis, its actually quiet worrying that people like you exist. Yes it is wrong and claiming that you are both married and or Japanese yourself means jack shit. The BNP had a black member and used to parade him around, so did the NF but they are still racist cunts who deserve nothing better than to be put on an island and fenced in so that they can talk amongst themselves about how the foreigners are stealing their jobs etc....
Take a look in the mirror, take a look outside, take a look at the date, and grow the fuck up.

I am resurrecting this thread with some new spots from last week. I thought, when I am out I will photograph every fix I see and see what I get. Then I stumbled across the Cycle Messenger World Cup after party in Shibuya. There were so many bikes to capture I gave up in the end. I haven't found those pictures yet but I might put them up later.

2nd image down in the 2nd link, guy clearly doesnt use the drops so why have em? Ha find it funny how a bunch of people on this thread think that because they have an asian girlfriend/boyfriend that makes it ok for them to use a a racist term. Reminds me of Kilroy: "I'm not racist, my driver is black"

Yeah - this thread contains a fair amount of bile.
Hey - why don't my photos embed properly? I don't want only links. Are they too big?
-

Pics are too big to show in line. solution would be to upload as individual pics and repeat.
What I wouldn't give to live somwhere where you could lock up using only a mini-D around the top tube!!

I've never understood this, I don't use my drops, but why should I change them? What would be the point?

Lob Jackson.
Sorry.
Japan is my ultimate dream location. Took the steam out of me a bit when I discovered how lowly they regard us Western plebs, but I love them all the same. One day, man, one day.

its only the old people really (as in most countries).. the young ladies have no problem with us :P
(ive lived here in Japan for almost two years now, and apart from stares from old people, and the odd far-right nutters in a van driving around, ive had no problems)
The Japanese racism is countered by their kindness to strangers... which sounds like an oxymoron i know, but, they are still very friendly, even if they dont like you :D

Cool post but I thought the Japanese were meant to be uber trend setters. Nothing there really stood out... maybe it's just me?
This stood out for me-
SHinjuku district - last week.Made me laugh.

The Tokyu Hands store in Shibuya has converted a large basement area into a stand alone bike store. It houses enough Nitto and Grand Compe stock to start a war with (if hipster bike parts were ever required for urban combat).

All the following photos from me were taken within the last 4 weeks in Tokyo.
I just noticed the nice Level behind this vertically challenged single speeder.
This was parked outside Blue Lug. Anything unnecessary has been removed including paint and dust caps. A nice balanced grey and silver look spoilt by a baby pink D-lock? Unusually for the city; no straps.
Also outside Blue Lug. I think I have seen this bike in a local magazine. I love Bomber Pros. Exotic wheels and seat post. Unusual to see an A head stem.

One of my fave photos in this set. Spotted in Asakusa. I am guessing they leave the bike stand at the café and invite others to hang their hat if they need to.
Again, clean roads equal clean tyres. Nice looking, unidentified frame.

Panasonic parked the wrong way round. (according to the apparent local tradition) I like the look of this bike.
Grrrrrr. Cannondale. Grrrr. Black
Window display for Manhattan Prtage store in Harajuku. Bridgestone?
A magazine shoot going on.
Omotesando. Pipe lagging, LED flashing lights on the rear wheel, nice saddle. -

I honestly can't imagine a far-right Japanese, guess I'll have to come over and check them out myself. The young lady bit, however, I can dig wholeheartedly.

Can someone explain why it's wrong to lock up driveside-in? I'm pretty sure I do this all the time as I dismount to the left. I guess it's annoying if you want to take photos of pretty bikes.

It is a bit of a mystery but it appears almost everyone in Tokyo locks up the same way round. It can hardly be for security. Perhaps it is modesty?

to keep the oily side away from passers by ! polite !
To be honest, I am fairly sure Japanese people are known to being racist, not that I know why.
And it's "srit eye" get it right.
