I ran an amber light the other day. It was one of those touch and go situations where I could have stopped if I rammed the brakes on hard, but there was also plenty of time for me to be well clear of the lights/crossing by the time it the light went red.

I decided against the emergency stop as the vehicle behind had been driving erratically a few moments before and I didn't want to get rear ended, but as I breezed through the light, the woman who had been waiting screamed "IT"S RED DICKHEAD" and violently shoved her full pram into my path...

First time someone's ever tired to use their baby as a weapon to assault me.

Why are these mothers trying to de-child?

Didn't say what was in the pram... maybe a bucket with a face drawn on?!

Pretty sure it was a baby, although I can't discount the possibility of a skillfully decorated bucket with robotic arms and legs with complete certainty.

In my uncertainty I approached every cyclist in my path and luckily a guy pushing his bike along the pavement accepted my fiver for his repair kit. This good Samaritan came with a bunch of seriously rat-arsed mates who kept trying to get on my bike and taking off my hat but so so worth avoiding a Saturday morning bus to work.

I would never suggest you push emergency engine stop button on the bus, as this will not anger them at all or leave them unable to chase you.

Nearly got squashed by, surprise surprise, an Addison Lee van this morning. I'm going into Traffy Sq from Whitehall, the lights are green and Mr Addison Lee decides he's in the wrong lane so drives into my lane without any indication or warning right into my path. I wave at him and shouted HEY and he decides to carry on driving into my lane as we go around the curve into Traffy Sq leaving me no room what so ever. Didn't get a plate as I was too busy reminding him he had a fucking indicator and that he was an utter bellend. Cheers to the guy who stopped at the next set of lights to ask if I was ok, I'm sorry for my language.

Fucking taxi driver pulled out from my right on the way home last night. He pulled into the road completely normally as if I wasn't even there. Luckily there was a bus stop to the left which gave me a bit of extra space but all I could really do was swerve and accelerate, not easy at 20mph... Did he not see my 3 freshly charged front lights?

I did set a strava PR on that section though...

taking a sharp left a little too quickly than i should have been, lean in to try and stay fairly tight to the LHS as there was a 4X4 behind me, left pedal clips the floor, back wheel jumps up and turns right about 30-40 degrees, somehow manage to stay astride my steed and ride away heart in mouth....quick look back and the open mouth of the 4X4 driver was enough to realise i was very close to being mown over, major oh shit
