If anyone ever needs a cat sitter, I've just found a very nice (slightly bonkers) woman from London Fields who is willing travel quite far. She's £7 a day and sends you a text everyday after she's done the feed to let you know they are ok. She's available over xmas, PM me if you need details.

SHE must of been dreaming of some cat feline porn in her sleep. She was fast asleep by the kettle that evening, drooling to fuck. Bloody hilarious to see. She woke up and it was just still there, dangling, getting longer and longer til it reached the counter.
It was at least 10cm's long in the end.

Dose she do children too? Just wondering.

My father in law found this in their swimming pool (in SA). A 1.2m water monitor. I hope they're going to keep it as a pet.

a question to cat experts. Would it be cruel of me to get a cat when i currently live in a 5 room one bedroom flat on the 1st floor? getting to the garden is not possible

Depends on the cat. An older rescue cat would probably be ideal, if it has been used to spending more time indoors than out. An older cat may be ok on it's own if you are out during the day.
Just over a year ago, I got two kittens, each of a breed that were happy to stay indoors, and we happily lived in a 2 bed flat for a year. Saying that, they now have a couple of flights of stairs to run up and down, and while they still live exclusively indoors, they needed a bit more exercise than they were getting in the smaller flat. I specifically got two so that they would keep each other company while they were alone during the day.
You'll need to be very diligent with the litter tray, and get a bunch of scratching posts and a cat climber/tower to keep it occupied.

You can have mine if you want, she's 14, fat as fuck, stinks and refuses to go outside unless she's got a toe up her backside. I can post her to you at cost if you like, I reckon I could get her in a big jiffy at a push.....

Right then, it's finally time to put some pics of our pets up. So here goes...
Mela, our Netherland Dwarf
Baby pics
Full size (not exactly much bigger!)
This is BumbleBee (not sure what breed, just a bit of an odd one!)
She likes anything that tastes sweet!
And this is our third rabbit Peanut when she was with Mela (unfortunately she now fights with the other two so is in her own cage (which means she gets special attention from my fiancee!))
These were my first rats that I had a couple of years ago. They were amazing, they just don't live long enough to keep having to deal with them dying all the time.
Fruity
Snoopy
This is where they liked to be seeing as they're very nosey creatures!
Sorry for the complete mish-mash of image sizes and the poor quality. When a mobile is all you have at hand you don't consider what the image will look like uploaded on a forum 3-4 years later for all to see!

I have 2 cats that I have raised as indoor cats, there are sites on the net that give you some sort of sq ft area that cats should have as their 'territory'. Might help? I live in a 5 room flat at the mo with the cats and they are fine, its a reasonable size and we do have stairs to bomb up n down though.
Having house cats basically means it is their flat and you happen to live there in order to feed them and empty the litter tray. But every vet I have seen is always glad we dsont let them out, think its like 20years life expectancy for an indoor cat.
Longandwinding, where did you get the cat portraits..?

As I think I've posted before somewhere:
'Dogs have owners. Cats have staff.'
