There is no such thing as a kitten or cat spending too much time on your bed.

Hello all!
I'm sorry to be so quiet recently but we were really busy in the past few days...we found a new friend for our lil ninja! Well actually he's not lil anymore! He is massive! Especially compared to the new family member.
So, since last Friday we have a new kitten :-) he is around 9 weeks old (Shinobi is already almost 16 weeks old, can you believe it? ) We decided to pick another black kitten (this time from the rescue centre) after we read that they are the least likely to be adopted. He is actually more grey then black. I will post pictures later when I'm on the PC. First two days were hard, but now, less then a week since he is with us, they just LOVE each other! They play and sleep together. I think this adaption to the new place and each other, is due to their young age. We are really happy parents once more! :-)After we lost our little girl I was so low and couldn't even think straight but I managed to pick myself up and think about Shinobi and his need for the company of another furry creature.
From the second I saw the little one for the first time, I thought he looks like a little wild animal (once I will post his pictures you will all know why), like a little baby wolverine :-) I wanted to call him Kuzuri, which in Japanese means wolverine but Markypoos kept calling him Baby Wolverine or Wolfie, but we all know we already have one Wolfie in our LFGSS family!
Luckily for Marky, Claire's Wolfie approved calling our kitten Wolfie the 2nd :-)It's all good in our little family now :-) Apart from a few times when the little one forgot he needs a break for the toilet and stopped wrestling Shinobi to have a wee where he was and then play again. On our bed. Twice. And on the sofa...
I know he is really young (and in general litter trained) he is just like a baby, he is so into games he forgets... but for goodness sake STOP PEEING EVERYWHERE YOU LTTLE MOTHERSCRUBBER! Rant over. -

That's so lovely to hear ... and forgivable about the wee mishaps (but don't let them become a habit!).

Oh no! Never! I just don't really know what do? Any ideas?
I'm putting him in the litter tray as many times as I can, but this morning (when they were playing on the sofa) I was just too slow... I don't want to punish him as he is a really good boy and in general he knows were to do his business, it's just those 3 times when he was so into wrestling with Shinobi. I know he is not doing this deliberately, they are honest accidents, but for now I'm keeping the bedroom shut, until he learns how to control his bladder (hopefully soon!) -

I don't own a pet but YouTube may have an answer. I enjoyed dog training videos on it, so probably a cat one too.

You just have to catch him in the act and pop him straight in the litter tray with some persuasive words and lots of praise when he finishes his pee in the right place.
If the moment has passed it won't work, he wont associate pee = litter tray. You can't scold though as again, cat's won't associate it unless it is exactly at the right time. I wouldn't scold at all, it might make him think that peeing is a bad thing.

going to have to take Mogget for a proper groom (probably shave most of his fur off) as try as I might, I have not been able to sort out the matts in his fur. Everytime I go for the brush he either fucks off or will only tolerate it for a short while, before fucking off. It's only a few large clumps around his arse (mercifully not covered in cat shit) and some broader but flatter matts along his rear flank.
Should I just go to the vet or would it be something a groomer can sort out? He's not viscious in ANY way. If I tried to hold him to do it I would get scratched to buggery but only from him trying to get down and he always seems to have his claws out. He's pretty clumsy.
Any thoughts? The problem doesn't seem to be causing him any discomfort at all but I don't want it to get to that stage.

Pet groomer.
Drop him off, and don't look back, or you'll feel all sorts of guilty.
Better still - get someone else to drop him off, and then he won't hate you.
If you're doing it yourself, we use electric clippers, manual Wahl clippers, and these:

yeah, was tempted to do it myself as he's not afraid of noisy buzzy things like the hoover etc and a while ago when I first thought of doing it, I held my beard trimmer (noisier than my hair clippers) close to him and he just sniffed then ignored it. Would like it to be a pro for the first proper go though.
Any suggestions near SE5?

Booked him in with a groomer on Denmark hill for tomorrow evening. Fingers crossed. If they can't help I have next Friday off work so will go to the vets.

That's great news, Lolabelle - am sure the erroneous peeing will stop as he settles in.
Picked up our two little ones today - Little Bee and TigerLily. They are currently tearing around their room and are already trying to escape. :)

Stevo - I've heard good things about Dog About Town (they do cats too): 196 Bellenden Road, London, SE15 4BW - 020 7358 9709.
Moar kitten photos ladies!
Good to hear Shinobi has a new friend Lola. Great name! Which rescue centre did you guys go to?
Bum, I was still contemplating TigerLily for mine crank_girl, for obvious reasons.
Srsly, why am I so bloody indecisive???

Go for it! It's unlikely they'll end up in the same class at school. ;)
Waiting for mobile phone to be a bit less toilety (phone drop fail) and then I'll post up some photos.

Cats can be like that.
For example
Cat buckaroo?

So, Mogget needed a pretty much full shave due to his Matt's being so close to the skin. Feel really bad but glad they're all gone.
He was really good throughout and the groomer was fantastic. Really good and patient with him and only cost £20.
The only problem is that his sister doesn't recognise him and is a bit off

The flat I'm temporarily living in in Berlin has a cat and a dog.
This is Emil:
The top picture shows how fat he is. He really is a big fella, apparently he's been on a special diet for 2 years, and he really doesn't eat much, but I don't think he exercises much either as he's a house cat.
The bottom picture is him in a box tonight. He was showing quite a bit of interest in it, so I put him in. He doesn't look it, but he was really happy in there. He left my room, and then came back and put himself in it again.
He can be really annoying, but I'll miss him when I leave, the fat fuck.

Holy moly - he is FAT!!!
Another chat:
Magpie: Am I in Africa?
Wolfie: Other cat's fannies are on my mind.
Magpie: Shiny shit over there.
Wolfie: Eating things alive is something to do.
