Molly is named after Molly Bloom..

Wolfie is named after Martyn Adams my favourite darts player. This is mainly because he appeared during the World Championships at the beginning of the year and liked watching Darts with me.

After having been witness to over 100 Cats & Kittens being named, I now think you can call them whatever you like and they just seem to grow into that name.

One more good reason to avoid the names Spitefulbastardkeepsattackingme & Dirtylittlebitchpisseseverywhere!

Chickens are tough. No normal sized housecat will have a chance against a fully grown hen, in the case of a cockerel the bird would do more damage to the cat.

Urban foxes, however, will fuck them right up.

No. I just walked around the block shaking her food and calling her but nothing. I really really hope she hasn't strayed too far away.

Scoot, try not to worry for a little bit. Robi does it now and then, makes sure I'm nice and wound up with worry and "what ifs" and then saunters in all-casual-like. I think he does it to remind me how awful it would be without him and reconfirm his status.
Have a cup of tea and watch the Lympics roundup then try again. She is most likely on the hunt and responding to you would really ruin her chances of bringing you a nice dead creature.

No, Higgs still lives outside, coming in only to have some food.

Yep, I took apart the cat gym and used the parts from it to make the one in the picture- it fits between window sill and the beam above it so that all three platforms have views.

Higgs will come in quite happily when Tesla is in the pouch as she cannot see her, ironically.

Poor Higgs. My older can Scintilla has just worked out that there are two small fluffy things on the other side of my door and is quite unhappy and/or frightened of potential mummy cats.

I will let them meet properly tomorrow.

Wolfie has had a confrontation with a fox in the garden, he just made a shit load of noise at it from what I can gather, before we chased it away.

However considering his recent tally of 3 squirrels, 2 mice, a starling and just now an unfortunate bee that was stuck in the house, I'd put money on him against a hen despite his dopey exterior.

I feel like one of those boring new parents who goes round showing pictures of their babies to strangers and expecting them to coo.

I still haven't decided on names which I realise is bad, though this one looks more like a tiger the longer I have her:
