Then use the biopace rings dude! when i did a vintage build last summer i was desperate for some biopace exage action, fuck symmetry.
on an off-topic note, dice and anyone else, is anyone doing any kind of support-someone-running-the-marathon dash around? Am prob gonna bring the brompton down with me

i probably haz some rings, innit.

I just dug out the chainrings from my XT sac
They're not Biopace, I'm a doughnut. They're plain SGs. They do have comically short teeth in 2 places but apparently those are for my shifting pleasure and are not just worn down.
I might still be interested in some more tho, I want them for touring so a spare middle ring wouldn't go amiss :)
As for the marathon Jack, nothing mentioned yet. I've never ridden the route pre-race, I'd be up for it...

...I don't know if I'll be bothered to get up early enough to be in Brighton pre-race...

Joining the T-Rex club?
Nah just swapped it out for a black one that I got super cheap. That red stripe had been annoying me for ages!
-
• #1088
I would have had it if it didn't have the red stripe. And was 100mm. So not really at all.

Does anyone have some 1 1/8 track/race forks for sale?

I have alpina carbon track forks for sale but I believe they have been cut quite short as my frame is a 52mm! I can measure though and report back if you still keen...

BTW I thought I might add that I have Alpina carbon track drop bars 38 or 42cm I believe with slight scratch marks on one side ( all bar tape is good though ). Used for around 2 months? £100 ono
Navigator Pista wheel and tire, again used for 2 months and in pristine condition! £65 ono
Alpina carbon track fork cut to 197mm. Used for 2 months also, pristine condition. £80 ono
I'll post pics tomorrow when I'm free from work!

Hi does anyone have some tyres they're not using? They don't need to be new.
I'm after 2x 700x25c or possibly 28c (something like gators or duranos)
And 1x 700x23c (anything)
I can pay by the way....just not shop prices -

I've got a Vittoria Rubino 23 downstairs you can have for free. It's got the shitty white stripes that run between the sidewall and the tread but its structurally sound

Got a mad 80's Harry Perry project up for grabs - little people and a lack of time means all must go!
23.5" of pure 80's Flouro Frame, with a v. Rare Omas headset. Unfortunately the alloy lower cup has developed a crack after a pothole related incident and subsequently should be replaced before being ridden - but it will get you to the train station if you wish to ride it home, WITH ITS 80's Scott Branded Orange-Flouro Aero Bars, oosh!
The Scott Aero bars are bolted up onto a nice Cinelli Quill Stem & Bar Setup, again, unfortunately the 'Critirium' logo on the centre of e bars is scratched up somewhat but perfectly useable.
Drivetrain is nothing to write home about but with a quick scrub will get you going, a mix of Shimano 105, Sachs Huret & a un branded chainset rolling on a sealed SKF bottom bracket. Brake levers and calipers are also 105, probably worth slinging some new cables in though to be honest.
Wheels are questionably the nicest part, Campagnolo Athena Screw-On Hubs (with Campagnolo Skewers!) built to Macic MA40 front & rear rims. Wheels run true and have good tension, although a wipe down wouldn't go amiss. Tyres have seen better miles but a few left in them to get you going.
Otherwise there is a used Selle Italia Turbo ( Original one!) bolted up to a nice fluted Seatpost. It's not stuck so there is a little bonus!
All in all, with a bloody good clean and some consumable parts replaced someone will have a bloody nice bike!
Well worth £120 posted, so knock a tenner off and I will deliver it to Brighton!

My Mongoose Maurice FS on on Gumtree, £10 off for forum members if anyone's interested?
Despite riding Maurice to a heroic third place tonight (great work Chris organising, Dice and Ad in 1 and 2 and everyone else, top night) in the Brighton Alley cat I am still willing to honour this offer, tenner off the listed £175 for forum members. Can't say fairer than that. ^ updated the link to the new gumtree ad.

I need a 16t cog for a freehub, and a half link, for as cheap as possible. Anyone got anything?
Cheers Chris for the pedals. Worked like a charm!
No more annoying clicking...
