This X1000 and never ask CB for sartorial advice ;)
For the simple reason that vests have no place in the wardrobe of the aspiring gentleman.

This puts me off them a bit, but they are lovely.

Here's a counter example, a chrono spec GS almost 50 years old that hasn't been well looked after at all yet after a proper clean and service is running like a Swiss watch (sorry) and back on chrono specs again:

It's only because of the tyre strap, but every so often I find myself looking at Chopard Mille Miglias. Usually I stop pretty quick because the faces are so garish, but this is quite nice.

I like the buttons. (I'm sure they're not called buttons. What's the fancy name for those buttons?)

Think there is one of these in that auction I posted up thread. Caught my eye too.

Fap
Some interesting pieces, but thankfully nothing I really want.
Except maybe the Omega driving chrono on p.58 with the face at 90°
I think I missed the affordability window on Speedmaster Pro Mk4.5s and Flightmasters though. They used to be a couple of hundred quid.I think those 70s Omega De Villes with the wide faceted faces on p.55 will become collectable in a few years and are cheap now. They are so of their time.

This is the 1969 Grand Seiko I won the other day:
When it arrives, and it's been for a service and pamper, and I have the correct strap I'll take some better pics :)

It's a fake, there should always be a 6 at the bottom of the dial

I can't believe that people don't like IWC. They're beauties - cheers MG.

IWC do make some peaches, often a bit on the large side for my taste, but lovely pieces nonetheless.

Should I spend £1500 on a Heuer Calculator?
I don't actually have £1500, but I have a credit card.
Every time I looked at it I'd say its name in a Sean Kelly accent, I'm thinking it's worth it for that alone. Carl-kyoooo-lay-torrr.
