I do like their Mark XVI & XVII pilots though - absolutely timeless.

Being TI, scratches quickly oxidize and become masked. I'm already regretting the PVD finish on my watch :(

In looks, I think the IWC (minus the chunk of the bezel) just about takes it.

Ocean One really is a submariner ape / homage but I wouldn't have said the same about the Davosa Argonautic. Just because no Mercedes hands, different style case / bezel plus a Helium escape.

Probably closer to an Omega Co-axial Seamaster on those fronts but still looks quite different.

Fair enough... I totally agree that the Ocean One is an ape / homage to the Submariner. I just meant that the helium valve isn't enough (for me) to justify the difference in price.

Having said that, I do really like the bezel with the yellow on. It reminds me of one of my favourite IWCs:
