Asked earlier, but in holiday time guess it got lost.
But any feedback on late 70s Twin Quartz Superior watches ?
Quite attracted to them, particularly the ones from 1978 (as it would match the year my Marzano was built) -

And one watch lost over Christmas. Hoping it's not mixed with wrapping paper and been binned.

I haven't owned a twin quartz superior, but I've had quite a few 70s Seiko quartz. I reckon go for it, there's some great designs.

Indeed looking around for some that I like. Particularly from the 78.

Not sure if it’s worth servicing, hand winding felt stiff despite being surprisingly accurate.

not sure if posting this photo of my Habring works. My NY resolution is to wear a nice watch more and my Apple watch less. HNY.

Anyone changed the battery on a casioak (non-BT/solar)?
Struggling to find guides. There are two batteries and it is not obvious or intuitive - almost like there might be catches or something.
Cheers

Belated HNY folks.
In the spirit of the annual Hoodwinkee post, the watch I wore most in 2023 was the Pelagos 39. I wasn’t expecting to like it as much as I did, but it immediately became my daily. Great size and weight, amazing bezel click, super legible, extremely accurate. With a date it might be an even better daily, but it probably wouldn’t look as good.

I had to think about what I wore the most, it was probably the Tintin before I bought the Explorer and then changed to that.
Therefore the Tintin wins '23, largely because I love it, it's very comfortable, and I like the little ritual of winding it before putting it on each morning.

Fucking YouTube search is so shit. I spent ages trying to find a video yesterday. Now when I use Google instead I get this with almost word-for-word my search term:

Still looks fantastic and still my favourite. I think I prefer it on a bracelet but I'm odd! HNY

I would not recommend Helson to anyone.
Got through to Helson on email and can confirm they are being dicks about the accuracy issue. The watch is brand new and they respond to my emails like the problem has nothing to do with them.
