Paying that much for a Yama chrono is tough when a Yama Mechaquartz Chrono is like $370 - very similar vibe at like a sixth of the price.

And @kilo24 oh totally, I wouldn't even consider it. Just a shame cause the design and Renault 5 turbo influence is otherwise pretty good. As are the overall dimensions.

I dunno, I thought the Renault 5 Turbo connection was way off. The watch looks like a 50s/60s midcentury design with fauxtina and the steel bezel. The car is 80s geometric / graphic stripes / primary colours.

Absolutely! The sub dial could be like a dash instrument dial but in the R5 turbo they were round- so missed a trick there roo.

Have some adapters coming so I can use a perlon strap

I don't see any connection to the Renault 5 Turbo either... And I don't get why they used that hideous font for 'rallye'... Would be cool if they used the same font as on the actual Turbo.

The page shows the car with circular dials, bold font and single colour. Juxtaposed to the watch with a square subdial, faux lime and steel. Like he didn't even try.

I mean, ffs, the've got the right angle wheel but there's a perfect circle on the right for a date window and they've put a squared off dial instead. Basic shit.

Forstner ladder bracelet came and attached yesterday. Obviously it’s brushed and the watch is fully polished.

Thoughts on polish?

A - fully polish
B - polish sides leave middle matte
C - polish centre and end link leave sides matte

That bracelet makes me uncomfortable for some reason.

I think if there's no brushing on the watch at all it probably needs to be fully polished.
