Zenith Chronomaster Original?
Nivada Grenchen do a range of variants of their 38mm chronograph as well, quite a bit cheaper than a Zenith or Moonwatch but also a much less fancy movement.

And yeah, bizarre 1970s relic of an advert from CW. Not a good look.

A second hand Speedmaster reduced 39mm or maybe a Sinn 356? 15mm thick though. I think IWC did a 38 mm pilot chrono as well but probably expensive

Can recommend a second hand reduced as @Retro_Bastard suggests! I’m likely biased and ignorant as it’s the first nice watch I’ve owned and I know people have their reservations about it for many reasons, but since I have fairly wee wrists the size/profile is spot on for me.

I think yours looks great 👌 I know the purists don't like them but I'm not one and I've got skinny wrists as well so if i had a Speedmaster itch it'd probably be the one I'd go for as well. At least the reduced popularity of these does translate into reasonable second hand prices. Actually the more i look at yours the more i want one.

Thanks, I have been looking at them again too, also owned one back in 2019. Seems there are versions with dates etc which look appealing
What about a Carrera?

Yeah, they are nice face on but side profile a little chunky

I always loved the Heuer CS (3110/3111 for example) series. I think they are 36mm though, so maybe a bit too small for modern standards? There was a re-issue of those few years ago, not sure if they kept it at 36mm… sexy watches!
Edit: you beat me to it!

I’ve met with a mate last weekend and tried on some watches. Surprisingly the Mark XVIII did nothing for me next to the XVI… The XVI has perfect proportions in my opinion. I’ll have to get it one day.

Skin diver from the 60s with (just a touch) too much patina and (surprisingly) lovely Ming.

And this 47mm monstrosity. Panerai doesn’t do much for me anyway, but this is just insane (my wrist is 19cm/7.5in for reference).

Speedmaster 38.
But the standard moonwatch carries its proportions well. I have small wrists and doesn’t over power at all.
In fact my daughter also wears a vintage moonwatch and doesn’t look or feel too big on her.
Failing that a speedmaster reduced as suggested here. -

Lovely watch though. I'd love to see one as i think they are quite big. I couldn't pull the pre order trigger on one last week because of that.
I did...
I really want the green one... but no longer available. Will have to wait to see

The moonwatch does seem to sit well, maybe I am over thinking it.
I always found the reduced wasn't the moonwatch so didn't keep it plus found the dial a little cramped.
