I think the other colours they do are nicer, but yeah, that'll lose a chunk of its value I reckon. Other 'microbrands' like Baltic or Halios maybe not as much, or at all, but I've never seen or heard of these guys and they're not exactly cheap. I'd be hard pressed to buy a microbrand at $1k tbh.

Might as well just buy a modded Seiko and get it exactly how you want.

That's way too much to spend on a fake Tudor with a terrible brand name imo

+1
I think Steinhart(sp?) has this bit of the market sewn up.
Unless you're getting something different like Farer, what's the point?
I know £2k is still a lot of money, but I can't help but think if you can drop £1k on a watch, then you can probably spend £2k and get the real thing.

OK actually £747 vs £2-2.5k is a fair bit of difference, so I withdraw that bit.

Nice price on this:

It doesn't seemed to be popular, I thought it's a decent looking MM style watch.
The blue one is discounted as well if you look around.

Thanks for all the replies.. I think that's made my mind up not to get it.. If it was £300 ish it might be a different story.
To be fair I bought a Tudor BB58 just before Christmas on the black and gold nato and was a bit underwhelmed by it TBH.. had it a couple of months and sold it on.
Since then I took the urge and bought this replica.. it's classed as a super clone grade.. and to be honest after having the genuine one and this, there isn't any discernible difference.. Pity I didn't have both at the same time to actually compare.. I honestly think the lume on this thing is better than the genuine one.. literally very clear all night long.. meant to have some sort of swiss auto movement too, but haven't opened it to check..
I'll prob be hammered on here for the fake.. so technically I do have a BB58 ish....

If you get more serious about it, a mate does a really good job modding Seikos, his insta is @seikoded if you want to see his handiwork

How can you tell?? it was £250... the AAA grade start at about £70, but they generally are just BB and not 58's they also come with just a standard oyster bracelet without the faux rivets

Thanks, I think the main thing I like is the red bezel triangle, Not sure is you can get it for anything other than the SKX007 which has the offset crown.. I have had a few Seiko's 007's etc and still have a SKX031 which is quite a good sub beater..
Yes, I can see the justification on cost/realism grounds (you want something non-shonky that looks just like a sub but you'll never afford a sub) but personally I'd prefer to spend the money on something that looks like its own thing rather than just a copy of something.
I guess at least the Nomadic has different hands so hasn't gone down the full-on copy route of a Steinhart but it still has enough of the features that it looks a bit like a cheap copy but isn't cheap enough to justify that.
