pictures of watches
I’m fond of this, think it might be nice to have a new crystal on it, but then maybe the bezel would look disproportionally tatty

I really should look into getting this, the bracelet alone is nice.

I hate car analogy’s but they are an Audi
Whenever people bring up the car stuff I always think of the gs elevator and whatever it was he said along the lines of; IWC wearers drive Audis. And get cheated on by their wives.

I know. But I'm here to point out people's moral failings. Someone needs to. Especially when the person who started this argument is a Range Rover enthusiast blithely inflicting a devastated climate on his own child.
In cycling threads, a Range Rover enthusiast would be quite rightly challenged and filed under vermin. In this thread, which is mostly about luxury goods which illustrate the gap between rich and poor, and the problems of consumerism, nobody commented except me.
The Range Rover enthusiast also, I suspect, deliberately misinterpreted my posts to accuse me of racism. I think he did it because I'd challenged the morality and wisdom of buying a Rolex. I illustrated this point with my own purchase of a Rolex. He's proud of his Rolex. You can tell by the way he dresses that he wants to project an image of success. I undermined all that, so he labelled me a racist. Not one person here has criticised him. One person did say that I'm not a racist, thank you ejay. But you didn't. You joined the pile on. What does that say about you?
This shouldn't need spelling out, as kids become aware of it when they're 10 or 12, and every adult who reads a book or newspaper sees it many times a day. But I'll spell it out anyway:
Tenderloin argued I am racist because I said the Chinese steal IP and don't pay proper wages. Context is everything. The context of this thread is watches. The context of my posts was fake Chinese watches. So it was obvious that when I used the word 'Chinese', it was shorthand for the Chinese watch/luxury goods industry, not for 1.4 billion Chinese people. It's common knowledge that the manufacture of Chinese watches and luxury goods often involves stealing IP. The Rolex logo on a fake Rolex is stolen IP. It's common knowledge that Chinese consumer goods makers pay sweatshop wages. There are countless stories about it, for example the FoxConn suicides. If Tenderloin was unsure about my meaning (he wasn't) the proper response would be 'that's not fair, not all Chinese do that'. But he went straight for the R word, in two posts. And you and many others had a pile on, because you enjoy bullying. That's it.

i thought the biggest crime was actually wearing white jeans.
TBH i don’t have the time to process previous beef or a forensic approach to ‘he said’- ‘she said’ exchanges.
it’s a forum about bikes, watches and shit, pile ons are for grade A bell-ends, don’t think either of you qualify for that. -

It’s on my c24 watchlist, they’re somewhat reasonably valued for a pre-bond watch.

I'm not a Rolex hater at all just pro Grand seiko and if i had the money this would be pretty close to top of my wish list. https://www.chrono24.co.uk/rolex/yacht-master-37mm-18k-pink-goldrubber-strap-black-dial--id22861048.htm#grefhttps://youtu.be/y-WcqZl3u9w

Yeah - the auction where the Tiffany Nautilus was sold had some crazy prices.

I'm not really a brand based appreciator of watches. There are plenty of good ones from lots of makers. I hope things work out for you in Tuesday.

As long as they accept the escrow service C24 provide, you should be absolutely fine.

my thoughts of the day
i remain underwhelmed by Rolex and vow never to part cashmoney with those in the business for their products. As for white jeans i am a strong defender of those sporting a summer look, equally if you own a range rover, i will never stop loving you..in other news
my tug-boat southpaw from Italo Fontana is due back from Lucca after servicing, needed a new bubble apparently :)
The truth is that no one gives a shit and online arguments are sad.
Time to start posting pictures of watches again.
