I had been thinking the same thing. Just can't believe that having nailed the zeitgeist Swatch can't supply the demand. Why not just take orders and deliver later, or is the uncertainty multiplying the hype?

I wouldn't buy it, but if I found one lying in the street I would take it home and wear it from time to time.

But you loved all the Grand Seiko new releases, right?

I'm intrigued by the sapphire case, would like to handle it to see what its like.
However, it that was a casio, I wouldn't pay £150 for it...

On the plus side, I do admire their technology to grow sapphire crystals big enough to fashion an entire case and bracelet. Its not an easy thing to do...

People actually buy those? I thought only influencers who got given them wore them

Probably why he got a deal

anOrdain lead times and pricing is vague. I read 2 years but also that new models could be released in 6 months or so and pricing from £1300-£2000. I think i like the cream enamel it almost looks liquid but the plum fume on black leather is my pick so I've stuck my name down and fingers crossed i get a call down the line. I'll probably have bought on or two new watches inbetween now and then but avoiding buying anything too similar in the meantime shouldn't be too difficult. These are just the right balance of unusual without looking wierd yet suitable for every day. The proportions are perfect for me and well priced so 🤞

No mention of the green Seamaster in here? It looks really nice to me.

Absolutely agree, I like them so much I own two Models 1s now, and I also put my name down a few weeks ago on the off chance that in a couple of years I could maybe get a fumé (if I want one at that point in time…). Very unique watches and they’re lovely people as well. Well worth supporting.

You are Hodinkee and Hodinkee is you. I wasn't even aware of this release. I think it looks fantastic also and would very much like one.

It looks nice, it’s totally the Aquanaut green. The renders make it look like it has the sharper markers of the ceramic models but I assume that’s not the case and it’s the same as the other 300Ms.

I think the rubber strap is probably the pick on the 300Ms. Looks good. The bracelet is a bit OTT.
-
• #62945
I agree. The green strap totally finishes it off.

Lovely and if you ever decide to sell the black one 🙏

My speedy pro... It's running at an observed +9 seconds a day. Was serviced last about 4 years ago. From what I've read they should be within +/-5s per day. Now obviously this is a major issue. I might miss time the retro burn entirely and skip off the atmosphere upon re-entry.
Its just outragously awful.
