True say. Copying a grim design is grimmer imo. :o)

I don't get it, nothing on those watches are Seiko except for the budget movement, why call it such?
-
• #59904
Well I would prefer those over Seiko designs.
Maybe just me tho.
Edit. Apart from the last one, as that is wrong in any Time zone.

I just meant that I'd never heard of the Turn-o-graph. Sorry, still waking up. May go back to bed actually.

Yeah, I think they're great, and it's a very minor change - don't know if they did it for design reasons, or just to differentiate the earlier runs from the later ones. Grats.
In related news, AnOrdain have gone back to waiting lists. Sounds a bit complicated tbh. Lots of new watches coming though, they're going to be doing the Model 1 in new 35mm and Chainbreaker-spec 41mm. Also the Model 2 in a larger 39.5mm size. Moving to La Joux-Perret movements as well (basically another ETA clone but a bit nicer than Sellita, and with a longer power reserve).

I love this

That's a healthy amount of lume! Reckon that JB would look great on an ISOfrane.
Lots to love about a Speedmaster, and there are so many different variations it's kind of nuts… enough odd little special editions and variations to be able to find something specific to your taste.

Some Seiko 5 sports for £150-170 on Amazon. Got one for my dad.
Silly question, what's the best way to get an skx now?
Thinking of getting the littler skx013 from this place on Etsy: https://www.etsy.com/uk/shop/vintagewatchheaven?ref=l2-about-shopname
They put in latest movement and a domed sapphire crystal for £210.

Joining in with the Citizens. The Kevlar strap has grown on me now it's softened. It also seems to dry much faster than a normal fabric strap

Doesnt feel like vibration will kill it (unlike Omega/Seiko autos)
Really? I have no experience of Omega but I have a couple of cheaper Seiko movements which seem to stand up well to riding

Might be even better without bracelet, which other straps did you get?
-

What a difference a strap makes!
I know it’s not winning any prizes for style but I had stopped wearing this on the waffle strap that it came with because it always felt like it was flapping around. I got this strap for a tenner from Uncle Seiko and it’s completely changed how it feels to wear. Eventually I’ll pony up for a black one (a whole £30) I imagine…

Mine came with the Kevlar strap (like Aggi’s above) but I’m exactly between holes, which is annoying, and it also felt just a little industrial to me. I like it on a canvas strap so far - definitely more comfortable, but that might just have been the metal retainer on the Kevlar.

I like the whole thing, watch and strap - but I'm a sucker for orange.
Where di you get the watch from with the Comex script - a limited edition, or is this a production model?

Isn't it another faux vintage mod?
-
• #59920
This is in fact the truth. It was made by Ben at Custom Seiko

Had an interview so figured I’d put on my smart watch so that I feel the part even if nobody else on the call can see it. In background - my usual daily smartwatch.

I’ve had mine on loads of straps, my favourite probably this Steveo parachute canvas one. Always fancied getting a bracelet for it but never found anything quite right, hows the oe version?

But comfy carpet so it’s all good
It's comfy, it looks nice, it feels solid, strap as shipped is way too long.
