I always like the P01 but never liked the limited strap option until I saw this without the lockable bezel, is this fairly straightforward?

It’s not straightforward because the P01 doesn’t have normal spring bar holes. In that case I imagine what they’ve had to do is have custom thicker bars installed somehow, but you can see that by using the existing mounting holes it’s too close to the case compared to where it should be.
Have a read of this:

It also sounds like you’d need a special tool to remove the unique end link part.

Balls, it’s quite an unique watch and saw it recently, just the strap really limited it further.

Gotta says hat off to them, next level marketing shit.

I’d be going for an alligator strap or something similar. Neutral stitching, slim silver buckle.
Watch Obsession should have plenty of options -

Not majorly into watches, saw this channel pop up on my feed last night. Has temped me into getting a fw91 and having a tinker! Really like the look of the black on black, using the polariser the other way on the screen.

Seiko repeating their habit of making successful regional exclusives available elsewhere (and probably pissing people off). The previously US-exclusive 62GS seasons watches are going to be available over here:

Definitely want to check out the spring drive ones in the metal.

Is it due to lack of uptake or because of strong sales?
Edit: rhetorical question, I don't expect you to know

My assumption is those models have done well (especially the cherry blossom model) and they want to repeat the success in Europe.
Echoes of the European LE Alpinist that they made a global release for the next season and annoyed a lot of European customers.

Seikagos anyone? 😎

I went for the wallet friendly option of alligator-embossed leather, I bought the Rios Louisiana yesterday, 16mm buckle.

A colleague has the spring drive winter model and told me about this release this morning. He was quite annoyed! The watch is really nice.

The pink one is niiiiice

The spring drive pink dial is great.

Yeah the pink / spring / cherry blossom one seems to be the most popular one by some margin. I’m really into the grey winter one and the blue, though the hibeat ones don’t seem to wear as well.
I am a bit surprised that they’d risk upsetting the US fan base they’ve been trying really hard to build up over the past few years. Maybe they should just stop with the regional exclusives if they can’t stick to them.
In other broken promise news, sounds like Omega are returning lots of Silver Snoopy deposits because they can’t/won’t fulfil them, despite having said “anyone who wants one will be able to get one”.

Spot on I think 👌

I do feel like the Grand Seiko state-sponsored news service around here, sorry, but I've also just seen there are four new 40mm spring drive models with champagne / kirazuri / black / blue dials coming, with fully brushed bracelets, which will make some people happy. Seem to be existing Japanese models maybe?
The 39mm matte black dial SBGA285 apparently discontinued, sadly. Silver dial SBGA283 still listed.

Nomos trollling the entire UK...

Wow, 4150GBP is most certainly not 4800 USD, which is how much they are pre-tax stateside. But even with the 10% sales tax in CA, that's still much cheaper. Man the UK price is high.
-
• #58171
It’s just the tax I think.
4800 USD = 3535 GBP (right now, according to Google)
3535 + 20% VAT = 4242
So the UK pre-tax price is slightly cheaper if anything.

Yeah, difference being is that Americans can buy from out of state and pay no tax but in England ya canny.
