  • Well, seeing as Wind Up are dropping them in it, you'd hope he wouldn't think it's you moaning.

Speaking of which... even though I've not kept either of the W&W LE's I've purchased from W&W, I have a $100 voucher to use from loyalty points. G-Shock time....

  • Never succeed to catch the richness of that green dial

  • Edit it in post 😉

  • I know there is a bit of love here for some of the "simpler" Rolex datejust , would anyone be on the look out for a 16234 , 36mm silver baton dial on the jubilee.
Box and papers from 2011 . Haven't seen in the flesh yet as we at part ex price negotiations .
just wanted to gauge interest/ offer here first.

  • Welp, heard back and they are indeed delayed due to both the watchmaking and shipping teams at AnOrdain having been off because of covid / self-isolation.

On the plus side it sounds like they're going to ship UK orders directly and not do the ridiculous dance of shipping to Windup in the US and then back over the pond.

Edit: er, just got a shipping notification. Didn't mean to hassle them but it looks like it'll be new watch Friday this week.

  • Withings have just released their tracker watches as a diver version.

  • Do not like the perma-unscrewed crown.

  • Well that's a big win on all accounts. You had every right to 'hassle' them IMO.

  • Interesting... nice design and good dimensions at 39mm x 45.5mm. But £590 which feels a lot for solar mechaquartz... (tho mechanical would double the cost most likely)

  • The AnOrdain lot really are lovely. I’m a firm fan.

  • G-Shock Thursday!

I should really stop buying watches...

  • did you ask when model 2 is returning?

  • I've been having the same wait, glad to hear they are shipping UK orders direct from AnOrdain.

  • I don't think it is, they did the brown fumé dial as the run-out version in an edition of 30, and then that's it for the Model 2. They've been teasing a new third model with an even more elaborate enamel dial:

    https://anordain.com/blogs/news/anordain-model-3

Basically it won't have printing on the dial, the numerals will be "champlevé" which apparently means that they are engraved into the dial and then filled with enamel.

  • Ah, nice, which dial did you go for?

  • Rose Gold, how about you?

  • Not quite the usual question but any suggestions for a quartz watch, 36-40mm and fairly slim, must have date, fairly robust reasonable level of waterproofness. Not a diver (unless pretty understated) and not a dress watch. Looking for an alternative to my G-shock for when I just want to grab something. Budget of £250 or preferably cheaper.

The Speedbird GMT Quartz is a possible, although I already own the automatic so the quartz too seems a bit unnecessary.

  • Ah, the most desirable one. :) That one looked like it sold out super quickly.

    I went for black rhodium.

  • Good shout on Seiko; what about the SRPG35 that’s a classic field watch with day/date?

  • Ah I read "A new iteration of the Model 2 will be arriving in the… near future." (posted Aug)

I would like an Anordain to be my next watch, if it is 36-38mm

  • Not quite the usual question but any suggestions for a quartz watch

    I'd like one of these:
    https://www.ernestjones.co.uk/webstore/d/4321235/citizen+eco+drive+men's+black+strap+watch/

  • I like that, very classic.

    300m water resistant AND titanium!

  • Mm, now you say that I remember them saying something like "it's the end of the Model 2, at least as you know it". So yeah, maybe they're cooking up a new version of that as well as the Model 3, but maybe the Model 3 is the de facto Model 2 replacement.

I would hope that they don't increase the sizes, Lewis seems pretty set on their watches and sizing being unisex and there's no reason at all for the Model 1 to be any bigger than it currently is IMO.
