Just looking at new straps because why not and saw the NASA Speedy strap is available for sale now. Shame it looks awful, really doesn't suit the lugs.

Almost any strap looks good on a Speedmaster so it’s impressive that they’ve managed to make one look that bad.

A decent watch smith can relume it for you.

This Citizen diver looks great (apart from the day complication). Shame I am on watch selling spree

Does anyone have a real Erika strap as well as a fake to compare stretchyness?
-
• #57057
They’re pretty similar IIRC. Real ones are maybe a little firmer and less springy but they’re basically the same. The biggest difference is that the real ones are made to exactly the right length for your wrist size whereas the imitations are one size, so inevitably a bit on the long side.

It's the stretch I'm mainly concerned with, I have a fake one already and the watch bounces around a bit too much for my liking, especially if cycling with it on.

Also if anyone has seen a perlon strap but in something other than nylon, let me know

I have both.
The real one is way less stretchy. -

I’ve done loads of cycling (and hiking, lately) with one of the fake ones and found it to be up to the task. I did shorten it though. More annoying (though not really) is its propensity to loosen itself somewhat overtime.

Never thought of that. Thanks JV

I’d look at NDC strap, as they’re very firm and doesn’t bounce at all, even with a hefty SKX007.
Downside is limited colour as they’re made from actual strap in 21mm (fit 20-22mm well).

oh nice, bit cheaper than the Erika, wish I could try one before spending £50 though. Saying that I've just spent over £30 getting a perlon Nato strap sent over from the US, why am I like this.
-
• #57065
£50 is definitely a lots, but it felt much more robust and I can wear it a little looser than the fake one which is VERY thin and you gotta strap it tighter to stop it bouncing/sliding which uncomfortably cut off blood circulation on my wrist.

Guys, I know there’s a few Pelagos fans here, so I thought I’d post it here.
My mate is selling his few weeks old, almost mint, still stickered (bracelet unworn) Pelagos blue at a bargain price of £2.9k. Full set. He’s based in Cambridge, so easy enough to do face to face near London for those interested. If not, postage is an option. Let me know if you’re keen.

Saying that I've just spent over £30 getting a perlon Nato strap sent over from the US...
Could I ask where you got your perlon Nato strap from? as I have Timefactors braided nylon Nato strap and it does not breathe very well in warm weather.

ordered it from a shop in the US

Another Raven that I ‘kind of’ like .. there’s a no date version also which probably makes more sense.. since watching that documentary about watch fonts however I have begun to dislike a 4 with the diagonal as a straight line.

I’d go for it had that not been the exact amount I have in my bank account.

Ha! Thankfully I don’t like the size of the Pelagos, otherwise it would be a NWD rather than a for sale post :-)
I’ve consolidated down to 2 watches! Well… third on the way. -

I really don't need another watch but I'm seriously looking at this as a beater/tool watch

Oh, by the way - good read right here:

Love this everyday watch but my eyesight isn't 100% and in day time I can't easily see the minute hand. At night no chance. And luminosity has long since faded. Any ideas.? Thanks. Mel.
