I set it like that on my full metal GMW but got so confused (due to being used to the older behaviour on the 5610) that I eventually set it back.

The updated 5000 series base models will have the same date option soon.

It’s Casio’s newest generation Memory In Pixel (MIP) display that they’re using in a few different ranges now. The legibility is a huge improvement over the traditional LCD displays (especially the inverted ones).

Wow, that G-shock display is super clear, nice.

Not sure what level of Seiko dive watch fanboy there is on here but there’s a very special very limited edition glossy mag that’s just become available from a guy in Japan who goes the extra mile to interview the people who made these iconic pieces. Not cheap (about £80 to your door) but chock full of nerdiness. Seek out mrseikosha on Instagram. @Regal - 👀
