  • This is lovely.
Also can you point me towards where you got the strap, both my nato straps have died and I'd like to try the stretchy version.

  • Time for a coffee

  • Thank you very much.

  • Absolutely lovely.

  • Slightly better photo.
The blue is very subtle and only appears very blue in the sun. Looks very dark/black most of the time. The case feels great at 42mm/12.5mm thick. Not missing the SLA023 anymore.

  • Appreciating the pics, looks really good. The case and the bezel both look excellent (and expensive). Hands are nice too. Great reference.

  • Honestly, apart from the movement... there’s not that much difference between this and the SLA023.

  • New strap definitely way better.

  • Very envious, this is what I considered a perfect replacement/upgrade from the SKX007.

  • Found this comparison of the case finishing between the previous MM200 and this new one, and it’s a clear step up. Goes some way to justifying the price increase.

  • Definitely different and GS movement but then again that’s almost a £3k watch 😬

  • Desk surfing

  • Nah, in that pic the top watch is your new one and the bottom one is the SBDC065 that I have. The edges are much sharper on yours, plus it has an additional brushed section on the flank - much more nicely done. But then I think it's something like 30% more expensive than mine was for the same mechanical spec so I'd hope they've improved it in a few areas. Hands are also definitely nicer, for example.

  • (Weird) Hive mind question. Starting to pack our stuff up to be shipped back to UK from Canada. Can't fit the stupidly large case my speedy came in into my luggage I'm flying back with. Am I best to remove all smaller items (straps, loupe, weird paper weight, warranty cards etc) and bring back on my person and ship the box back with our other stuff or am I best to try and take the whole thing with me in my case?

  • Sorry, I thought it’s the SLA023 and mine! Doh!

  • Double trouble

(you can tell from the date which one is getting the most wrist time... will probably sell the SKX007)

  • Also picked up this one the other day - like the 70s vibe. Though need an unpadded strap for it...

  • Iconic lugs on that, hope it sparks joy.

  • Its funny with all this extreme technology that comes along with watch making that the case and bracelet shades of steel very rarely match perfectly in colour. Ive always found that odd but im guessing the metal is treated or tempered differently to create the form and ruction needed for the bracelet? To be fair I've only had Tudors but have others also found this?

Photo for reference, not mine. See BB58 on the right.
