The tach is mostly fine until you get to the 140/150/160 area.
The unevenly spaced 10s on the subdials is unforgivable.

That salmon dial.. love it.. but 10k euro?? If the price was closer to the speedmaster i would put it for sale in a heartbeat :)

It’s a triple calendar and moonphase chronograph though. The Speedmaster with moonphase and pointer date is around £9000.

What's with the oversized minute markers at 3, 6 and 9 mins on the chrono scale? I'd thought that maybe that was the reason for the different spacing for the 10 but it's not, is it. The 10 on the seconds subdial is just wiiiiide.

It’s an old feature that was for timing telephone charges. The charge ticked up every three minutes so you could time your call appropriately.
It’s an anachronism now of course.
I actually think it might have been the reason why they tightened the 10 on that dial. That one is the exception, they accidentally made it better than the others. 🙃

Yeah true.. my dream watch is a 5270 salmon so now that breitling is the closest i can get to it. In 5 years, used, it should be around 6-7k. . Doable

Love that reason (and awesome knowledge)!

I think they nailed the dial. Really nailed it. It’s a fairly big watch though. 42mm and >15mm thick. The JLC one (nowhere near as good a dial) is 40mm and 13mm thick.

42 is a great size. Thickness depends on how it sits on the wrist, side profile/middle case etc. Looks like the lugs are are not straight so thats a plus. And there is a raised crystal which add to the measurement

thanks for the vid! The only thing i liked more than the watch in the video was that lovely mini... esp the clothes peg on the clutch.

It looks better in that picture than from the other side! But yeah, it’s fine. For me it just looks a bit chunky next to such such a vintage dial execution (aforementioned 5270 is 12.4mm thick and that’s a full QP). But it’s no bigger than eg any number of Seiko’s auto chronographs from any point in time.

This is cool.
This is why I think the zenith sport chronograph missed a trick. Who cares about 10seconds! In my life, around 10 mins is important. How long to boil and egg? Done. The egg timer chronograph!

@inchpincher @ejay2.0 thanks Guys, it's such a terrible pic on so many levels...
Found my first font gripe with it - the spacing of the 1 & 0 in the number 10 is different on the left and right subdials.
It’s also got the over-spaced 1s around the tachy scale. Ah well
