Hmm interesting. I’ve been waiting to try it for a year. Even thinking about buying a 1:1 rep then flipping it and getting the gen if I like it.

I have the wrists for it, but I like smaller watches. The Pelagos is definitely chunky but wears well due to the fact how light it is. The GMT for instance comes in at 178g on the bracelet. It’s heavy.

I think I like it too. I was quite sceptical of the demand for them due to being a "limited edition" of 1000 but there are suprisingly few for sale in the UK. They don't seem to have increased in value though.

Kitchen climbing today. I've put it on a black strap; favour this over the bracelet tbh.

Wearing the good watch today, not much moon about.

I just saw the sub second version of this... I thought to myself, one day, when i grow up and I need a fancy dress watch, I think i want a JLC small second. (obviously the moon phase is better, but beggars cant choose moon phases. )

Yes! I think that's the one. Mine was also going greeny-grey even at the time. Apparently you can dye them any colour you like, but I really like how it looks.

Is there a recommended aftermarket bracelet for these? Something with matching endlinks that is less extortionate than the original.
