I've never seen the new one in the flesh but it's thicker, colours are very different by now and the date doesn't seem to add anything.

Don't you love that about Seiko though... most pieces can cost either sub £200 or £4k?
-
• #51493
Yeah, not arguing it’s too expensive to buy, just that the market for Seiko is quite broad, so it can easily be a watch for student or a multi billionaire.

I wasn't implying you did.
Quite interesting to see it though as the quality is exceptional. Not quite Grand Seiko finish on the case/hands/dial but not that far off. The bracelet is not great. The little pin and tube system sucks and the clasp might as well be from a £50 watch.

Sounds like another watch is on the horizon

The little pin and tube system sucks.
That was fustrasting and unnecessary.

I got this one as there’s something awesome about it and I had to try it. It is super cool but yeah, way bigger than expected.

What's frustrating? Adjusting the bracelet? This system at this price point? My opinion?
-
• #51499
The bracelet, it work, just so fiddly, and TBF, it took me by surprise when I want to adjust my strap.

Long-suffering and almost as long-dismantled, the G2900 is finally in one piece again. The old bezel/case was totally cracked and broken, forgot about it for a long while. Found it in the parts pile last week and ordered a new bezel from WatchBatteryUK. Put the old strap back on it while I wait for the nato adapter from China, after turning off DST.
Also, cheap-ass Chinese bull bars arrived for the DW5600. Sit a bit wonky but got to remember it’s a watch for smashing up, not for looking pretty.
