Great Muhle! Didnt know you owned one.
There's a lot of choice when it comes to pilot watches but this one was my favourite when I tried a variety on. Alsal kept it for me for about a year while I was dithering!
Not the most authentic of Pilot watches but the East German heritage of Muhler interests me and its a cracking value watch.
EDIT: Fuck me, they've nearly doubled in price since I bought it. £2.7k feels about right for the quality but I paid closer to £1.5k https://www.muehle-glashuette.de/en/watch/terrasport-i-chronograph-black-leather-strap/

This looks quite tasteful, for a Monster

Yes, that's a bit strange given it's all about the vintage diving credentials. Not that it will be going any deeper than a swimming pool.

I like these but one of my best mates at secondary was called Christopher Ward meaning I can't wear a watch with his bloody name on it.

I wonder what the bracelet feels like. I wonder if it's as solid as a rolex one.

Stupid bloody mates with their stupid bloody names. Just be grateful you didn’t sit next to Dave Seiko.

Nice! If that’s the date at 3 o’clock, What’s the number next to the day? is that the day of the week (if Mon is 1)?

I’ve always liked Squale, never had one. What’s the quality like?
I’m wearing my favourite manual watch today.

let me know if you get sick of it! I'm a long way off being able to get my hands on a Tudor one...

My Squale (1521 aka 50 Atmos) is rock solid. Bezel is a 60-click design and feels indestructible (it really clunks into each notch). Nice case (Squale were a specialist case maker/supplier for a number of brands, including Blancpain). Rated to 500m. Recessed signed crown.
Movement is an ETA 2824-2, so pretty decent, ticks at 4hz, they don’t like being hand wound a lot and mine already has slightly iffy winding engagement. But overall - it’s a really nice pure tool divers watch, no frills, from a company with a distinguished history of making divers watches.
I’m not sure whether the 20/30 Atmos models match up to that build quality, haven’t tried one. Also a bit disappointed that they have jumped on the Rolex homage bandwagon recently, but what can you do.
Edit: thought this was one of their nicer recent efforts:

Thanks. Yes, the days are numbered 1 to 7 as well as the actual monthly date.
Took me a while to figure out how to set the date. Turns out you push the crown in, each push advances the date by one.
Very nice!
