  • Out of the watches I have (excluding G-shcoks) I'd say my Helson is the most tool watchy watch I own.

A Shark Diver 45mm sounds right up your street. 45mm, titanium and 2,000m water resistance for £500.

  • Sorely tempted by this.

It's one of a limited edition of 82 pieces. They were originally $1,495 but this is on for $2,295 plus shipping and inevitable tax on import from the US. I love the monochrome but I think it's probably overpriced. The regular black version is on Jura for £926 with a discount code but it's just not as good.

I should just keep waiting for the Zenith I want to become available but...

  • Black version

  • Speaking of Prospex divers my MM200 “great blue hole” is still for sale if anyone’s interested.

  • Ooh thanks for this I've been waiting for the ti version of this too come back in a smaller size. I love my bronze 42mm version but it's just a bit too much of a lump sometimes and I wanted something on a bracelet.

I was hoping for the 40mm to come out but I think the 38 could be good. Total deal at $649 too.

They say there are more versions coming though? What could they be?

  • Another lsuh watch!

How you getting on btw? Im a bad friend... Sorry. Meaning to text you. (SO instead i message you on a public forum... LOL)

I think £500 is a good pricepoint for a tool watch for me.

Also, i agree, my G-shock is definitely going to be my go to if i know i am going to abuse it. Like, cycling, gymming, working in the garden or shed. BUT my everyday should be similar that if i dont take it off for those tasks, it wont matter, other than worrying about a stinky strap.

45mm is reserved for special watches like your henson and my Pam. Who really needs to go to 2000m? LOL

Jokes asside, Im intersted in 41-42mm in my maturer days.

  • I have a brass 42mm, a bargain for $350. Only waterproof to 500m though!

  • A rare leather strap day for me

  • I’m also a big fan of this sub Tudor homage .
I wonder if Tudor would ever make a retro with a similar look

  • A Seiko Turtle is the best sub-£500 tool watch. But it’s too big for some.

A ~40mm Seiko diver with a 4R movement under £500 and classic styling (the turtle mini is kinda off) would be super.

  • I think £500 is a good pricepoint for a tool watch for me.

If you want a genuine diver/tool watch, look at Scurfa.

It’s better than my Seiko for the intended purpose, and more accurate (thank Quartz).

  • I was wearing my Squale while doing some hammer drilling the other day, which in hindsight probably wasn't the best idea.

  • Nooooo, imagine paying over retail for a Zodiac...

  • That's a hard no for me. Poor value proposition if ever I've seen one.

  • Go faster Friday today.

  • I know right? I managed to get chip on mine after day 1 in the workshop.

  • Ronda movement are chef kiss

  • Not totally sure about the large arabic numerals but the use of Univers for all the small numbers looks so good on this. Especially with the dash of orange for the telemeter scale. Very cool.

  • as a long time watch thread lurker, and at best, g-shock wearer, this is the watch that makes me want to up my game. every time you post it I get a tiny pang of regret at not throwing captain credit card at a shop when they were in stock!

  • Sailcloth looks legit! Can you share a link?
